This is it. This is why he didn't open up and throw more. He knows he gets hit a lot more by Pacquiao and he didn't want that.

Still, it is a poor effort from Clottey in that he didn't even really give it a try.

CLottey decided early on into the fight that he was going into survival mode.He did well in the 3rd round whne he landed 4/5 good right hands, he was landing his left uppercut throughout the fight aswell but no where near as often as he should have. Clottey's defence is great, but he just doesnt engage in fights.

I think that he didnt throw many ounches is because he was afraid of pacquiaos speed when throwing combos. Maybe if clottey had taken more of a chance during the fight it would have been closer.
