He was scared of Pac's power. Knowing that Pac had the kind of speed to land unseen punches on you; Clottey didn't want to take the risk of getting caught. Clottey's handspeed is good, he could have given MUCH more trouble to Pacquiao but it'd have been very risky. Cotto took the risk and got knocked down two times in the process.
The real reason is that Clottey absolutely didn't want to look bad and "lose like the others". When i heard him saying that in the interviews, i knew what was gonna happen.Comment
