I tried to put on more weight but could never get over the upper 190's, I can't eat that much and really just don't have the frame for all of that mass.

So I just maintain a lean 180-185, its practical.

Doing cardio hinders too much extra weight gain but I would rather be with than without it.....no need to be a hulk who gets tired from walking up and down stairs.

maxed 410lbs...1 rep. body weight 195lbs bulky muscle. but i ****ed up my rotator cuff due to maxing 410. took 2 years for my shoulder to full recovery

but on my days when i wanted to rep out but still lift heavy, i would work out with 325lbs. 5 sets of 5 reps.

and have repped 365lbs 3 times.

anytime you plateau, start working the legs. aids in increasing upper body strength for some reason

anytime that happened to me, i hit my legs really hard for a month or so. and when i felt i could push more weight from my upper body, i would go max out to see how much weight i could add to my bench, incline and decline.

working out with dumbbells and bar helps alot too. i was benching the heaviest bumbells my gym had which was 165lbs. picking up those big bulky bitches and maneuvering them is crazy work

Never really though of the two as related, I may give that a try.

What I do now is a heavy weight/low rep work out and the next work out I do a lighter weight/ high rep with cardio routine......
