yeah take it easy i tried toget up to 315 but work blah blah blah

funny and strange thing i came to realize about weight lifting, is that its more mental than physical. to me, its about 80 mental and 20 physical.

learning how to read your body and paying attention to what you body tells you is key as well. i can feel when i was stronger and would be able to max more. and thats when i would max out to see how my bench, legs or whatever improved.

i know how to get my adrenaline pumping before maxing out. if i was maxing 320lbs for example, i would convince myself, mind and body, it was around 220 or something. it works.

also, the key to maxing heavyily is warming up heavy.

alot of people try max out without warming up at all. or not warming up heavy enough.

yes, as you said, too much cardio can kill that.

if you want to lift heavy. you have use heavy weight with low reps.

but change up your workout so your body doesnt fall into a rhythm or routine.

i would alternate my workouts every other week then on the 3rd and 4th week, reverse my workout.

then start all over again the next month

my cardio ****** b/c i did little to none and wasnt stretching well nor long enough. especially after my workout so i lost some range of motion. had to have my girl wash my back b/c i could barely do it(i was too big at that point especially when im only 5'9.5 to 5'10)

We only do 3 rep max and 1 rep max around here. Never maxed out at 4, but I can put up a few plates. Max 3 is 315, so maybe 3 for a 4 rep.
