LOL yeah, I don't know about FLoyd's body punching being better than Pac's. Manny always brings something new to every fight and lastnight we saw Pac's fierce attack to the body and it was absolutely BRUTAL.

Floyd has an excellent body attack and a more dynamic one than Pacquiao....wtf are you talking about?

His jab to the body is the main key to his offense actually.

You really see Floyd landing his potshot jabs to the body with Clottey's long arms and shell defense???? Come on man, you gotta put together 3 -5 punches to get a hit in on Clottey, even then they're not clean hits mostly grazing his elbows n gloves.

Dude...When has Pacquiao ever been a bodypuncher, aside from last Saturday? And obviously Manny was going to aim for Clottey's body if he shelled up all night. That's a no brainer. Floyd has been more effective with it in his career, not just the Gatti fight. Look at how he stunned Judah at the end of round 4 and caused him to shield his body and escape, hoping to get saved by the bell. He's also dropped many fighters off of single body shots.

And that's just my opinion. I love how you Pacquiao fans ignore entire posts and pull out one little part about someone doing something better. I'm entitled to my opinion.

If Clottey shells up, the key to Floyd's victory would be body punching and footspeed, just like Pacquiao. Floyd is a better bodypuncher than Manny in my opinion, so he'd have a little more effect in that department. Clottey wouldn't be so afraid to take chances against a lighter punching Mayweather, but he'd fail miserably because of Floyd's defense, and get countered all night. That would be the key to his downfall.

If you think Clottey's compubox scores were horrible in the Pac fight, this would give you a heart attack...I wouldn't be surprised if he went several rounds without landing a punch at all.
floyd would risk hurting his fragile hands on clottey's elbows if he went to the body like manny did.
as for clottey hitting floyd i think he would be able to hit him, not consistently but he'd be able to touch floyd becuz he has relatively fast hands, throws short accurate shots and lets go when he sees a clear opening. i think it'd look more like dlh/floyd or the latter half of cotto/clottey with clottey getting outboxed from the outside and giving chase with little success.

i think clottey would be less afraid of floyd's combination of speed and power so he'd be more willing to open up.

2 conservative fighters. it'd still be boring and uneventful.

But the problem is, Clottey can't mix up his defense and offense. He's like Arthur Abraham without the KO power. So if he shells up, Floyd can attack him at ease and when Clottey attacks, Floyd can counter/dodge at ease. If Clottey could mix up his offense and defense like Wright or Louis, then I'd give him a chance. Heck, he probably would have beaten Margo if he could do that.
