Floyd vs Clottey at 147lbs - break it down

    Hi fight fans!

Since we recently saw how Manny handled Clottey's tight shell defense and dominated him. I'm curious to know your opinions on how Floyd would tackle Clottey.

I'm finding it hard to fathom how Floyd would land anywhere near the amount of punches Pac landed (even tho at a very low percentage) or even land much at all. Just picturing the two fighters styles, heavy defense, little offense, would this fight be snooze fest, even more so than the Marquez fight?

yeah, for some reason i see it being much like the Marquez fight except Clottey will resist being made to be the aggressor and we'd just end up with two guys starring at each other all night.

It will be the same as Pacquiao Clottey but FLoyd will throw like 500 punches and Clottey will probably connect 70 at most

clottey will be the aggressor in this fight, he can give a fck less about floyds ***** slaps. floyd will potshot, run and get a spit decision. he respected pacs power too much to slug it out with him.

This would be a lopsided, boring 120-108 decision in favor of Mayweather, similar to the Baldomir fight. If Clottey shells up, the key to Floyd's victory would be body punching and footspeed, just like Pacquiao. Floyd is a better bodypuncher than Manny in my opinion, so he'd have a little more effect in that department. Clottey wouldn't be so afraid to take chances against a lighter punching Mayweather, but he'd fail miserably because of Floyd's defense, and get countered all night. That would be the key to his downfall.

If you think Clottey's compubox scores were horrible in the Pac fight, this would give you a heart attack...I wouldn't be surprised if he went several rounds without landing a punch at all.

clottey will push forward like he always does

floyd waiting for clottey to punch

              *touch jab* *touch jab*

              clottey guards jab

              wait 1 minute

clottey waiting for floyd to punch

              *punch jab* *punch jab*

              clottey misses floyd

              repeat cycle for 12 rounds

Yeah but floyd will potshot and get out of the way all night and looking at Clottey's defense I'm struggling to see how he would really land many of his potshots at all. How would Floyd's boxing brain and him being so "smart" in the ring get around this????

floyd's body punching superior to pac's? are you basing this off gatti's fight? the hell outta here
