I don't know but I thought it was very inaccurate, almost ridiculous, to say that Clottey had landed more clean punches on Pacquiao than Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto combined. It's even worse considering that Clottey had only landed a few punches by the 3rd round of the fight, when Max said it. If anything, Cotto has been the toughest opponent for Pacquiao because he landed a lot of clean punches through the first five rounds and even wobbled Pacquiao in the 5th round after a left hook. Any thoughts regarding Kellerman's "wise" remark?
Did anyone agree with Kellerman's statement about landed punches on Pacquiao?

Kellerman always needs to lie and/or exaggerate like that to make his point.
He seems to feel that the people listening to him are ******.Comment

i agree cotto landed way more good punches on pac all you have to do is look at his face after the cotto fight...people were surprised as to how many punches cotto actually landed because of the way pac destroyed him...but yeah i lost my mind when max said that..Comment

Kellerman is very lame. I can't believe he was praising Clottey for a showing that was extremely poor and disappointing, had the nerve to say that Clottey was doing better than Cotto, and then changed his mind and started to say that Clottey needed to step it up because he was not doing much and had lost every round up to that point. Talk about contradicting yourself in the blink of an eye. I've never liked Kellerman's comments but the guy is reaching a new level of mediocrity and bias. Does he even know that Pacquiao-Cotto was a great fight through the first five rounds? Does he know Cotto won, at least, three rounds? How many did Clottey win? Better yet, how many exciting moments did this fight had? I never thought a Pacquiao fan could be tedious or boring to watch. Clottey did his part to make the fight dull and Kellerman still gave him props for it.Comment

In an outrageous (out of the ordinary) fight like this one (Pac vs Clottey)...figurative statements are to be heard as sarcasm to make a point. Not literally.
And the reason is the outrageous passive and seemingly complacent Clottey in not being able to take risk in a fight. (one argument I would buy is that he couldn't open up due to the barrage of punches coming from all angles that further pushed Clottey towards "closing down" or tightening up his defense rather than fight back.)Comment

I wish Larry Merchant had been there to tell Kellerman he disagreed with that ridiculous statement. I remember Merchant thanking Cotto for a brave effort against Pacquiao. I don't think he would have thanked Clottey for his Winky Wright style defense at the expense of throwing few punches. I had a lot of respect for Clottey and thought he would be a tough fight for Pacquiao, but I did not see much last night.Comment
