The gap between Pac and Clottey was conditioning, not skill

In order to beat Packy, you must come ready to throw 100+ punches a round, or be a master assassin counter puncher like JMM who was so good he made Packy gun shy about throwing punches like Clottey allowed him to.

      What do ya'll think?
Not down to skill? I couldn't disagree more. Everything was down to skill. The two are leagues apart.

PS: I hope Pacquiao fights Marquez again, because I'm pretty confident Pacquiao makes him look ****** and probably knocks him out. This is a different fighter to the one who fought Marquez, plus at 140+, Marquez will suck anyway.

I don't think even think punches will slow him down at this point. Cotto hit Pacquiao with his hardest shots, and it just spurred him on even more.

Do you think if JMM and Pacquiao fought at Welterweight that JMM would even stand a chance?
I'm not doubting Pac is on another planet right now, I'm just pointing out the way to beat him.

Clottey had the skill, just not enough conditioning to keep up w/ what Packy was doing.

I don't think JMM should fight above 135 personally so I wouldn't even make that fight.

These aren't 1300 Paul Williams love taps, these were knockout shots, 1300 of the shots used to almost kill Hatton and drop Cotto twice and TKO him.
Bully you walk people down with jabs, lead rights, punches. Its not walking someone down if you just stand there and get hit with your arms covering you.

Clottey didnt fight back. He was pathetic. He didnt leave it all in the ring.

Is that why every time Clottey let his hands go he couldn't miss Pac's face?

Face it man, if Clottey threw like Margarito he would've had Pac outta there.

I think he should work his way back up but Margaritto can keep up that kind of output and has a very good chin (pre Mosley) he lacks skills but he has a huge size advantage.... that fight could be interesting..

But i'd prefer Mosley or Floyd over him, he needs to work back up before a superfight imo. I know for sure he wouldn't not throw when he actually hurt an opponent like Clottey

Clottey can diminish Pac's speed w/ activity of his own. JMM showed this by making Pac gun shy about throwing by effective and precise counters.

Pac's punch output vs. JMM in both fights was nothing compared to what Clottey allowed him to get away with.
True, good point. But even if Clottey had Pac's stamina I'd still favour Pac. There's also a strong argument to say that Pac has improved since fighting Marquez. He's definitely a smarter boxer. I think the 2010 version of Pac now would beat the 2008 Marquez more convincingly than he did two years ago.

He can fight Marquez at 135, Pacquiao can still make the weight.

Man, you just can't help yourself can you?

JMM already has Pac figured out, I don't care what weight they fight at, JMM will always have him figured out. Thats how counterpunchers roll.

Once they figure you out, its over.

The only problem I have w/ a 3rd fight now is JMM's age.

If they were the same age, I'd pick him to whoop Pac again.
