    The undercard was **** too.
I watched a feed for the 1st time. I fell asleep by the middle of the last bout. The undercard bored the hell out of me, and i feel asleep watching Pac work out on the punching bag.

Clottey really un-earned any respect i had for him. He fought (or rather didn't), like a coward, not wanting to get hit. I never thought I'd see a boring Pac fight, but i did last night. Clottey was a ***** last night.

I'll never watch him fight again.

Infact if boxing was as popular today now, there would be a lot of people following it. However the lack of sensational KOs, and the fact that boxing is just too spread out now, it's hard to follow unless you are a proper fan.
Well boxing was popular when it was basically shown on ABC (regular network television) but when it moved to HBO it was still glamorous for those who had cable. But it makes sense that you guys were paying a lil bit in the UK, with time zone differences etc.. maybe they had to charge.

But it wasn't just Tyson, we also got to see all of Julio Cesar Chavez fights, Whitaker, Toney and Jones when they were at their best, Meldrick Taylor, Norris....and even the UK guys like Benn, Eubanks, all on regular HBO.

Yeah we have the same problem here.

When it was on free TV, we had 8-12 million watching (60 million population)

Now it is on Satelite company where you need subscription. Then you have to pay on top for sports channels, and even a PPV price. This has killed a lot of interest.

One reason apparently it went off Free TV was the Benn and Mccllen fight. After that, ITV stopped showing boxing up until Amir Khan.

Even the BBC only started from the Lewis - Rahman 1 fight with Audley Harrison.

It;s a shame because now it's only easy to get into boxing if you have family and friends rather than TV selling it.

The olympic helps a little though.

As for the PPV, it is mainly due to them being greedy and wanting money. The time zone sucks for us but a good fight or atleast as a fan, 4am is nothing. Although it makes it hard for casual fans to watch though.
