LOL at the people who thought this fight would be competitive...

Clottey is far from a bum.
He just couldn't deal with Pacquiao's speed and activity rate. He can still pose problems for many other fighters of a different style.
I agree, though, that anyone who thought this fight would be competitive don't really know much about Clottey.

I think the fight was more competitive then people are saying. The last time I checked fights are scored on things like clean, effective punching and defense. Unless of course your Jim Lampley and are only concerned about the total number of punches thrown whether they land or not. Don't get me wrong, even though Pacquiao must have missed 90% of his punches he did land enough to outwork him Clottey most of the rounds between clean and partially blocked punches while Clottey was landing less, but more meaningful shots. I just don't think it was a total domination when you look past the flair of Pacquiao's 10 punch combinations which often had little effect.

i think, based on his style, he tries to take as little punishment as possible in ALL his fights.....it's guard up, then sneak in punches when he can.
the only problem in this fight, was that every possible advantage, besides size, was to manny.
clottey fought like clottey. i was disappointed in him, but not surprised. what's more surprising is that so many ppl thought clottey would be a completely different fighter yesterday, than what he had been in all his other fights. he didn't show up to just survive, manny's style is just a nightmare for clottey's......
