There is no doubt that Clottey didn't show up and it's the reason our sport suffers.

Clottey did exactly what he has done in all his previous fights. Hell this is the reason why he got the fight with Pac to begin with, because they knew that this is what he would do all night. Only idiots or people with a vested interest in the fight tried to convince people otherwise.

I went to a bar after watching the fight at a buddie's house. When I got to the bar I asked if anyone else saw the fight and 1 dude is like, *** boxing. That fight was bull****, you got Manny and Mayweather. Manny's fight ****** and Mayweather is boring as hell in every fight, MMA taking over. I'm like, great...
Yeah you do need a dance partner it goes like that across the board duh... and don't worry boxing is not anywhere near being toppled off the apex of fighting sports. People always say boxing is dieing yet it still remains. Don't listen to guys like him because they keep saying that yet the ppv #'s keep saying differently. UFC does 3x as many events and usually do around the same amount of ppv #'s total... so who's dieing? its not boxing.

i think clottey showed up, and he tried....

he fought cotto the same way. ppl don't understand, that is what clottey is. he's a very good fighter, but he'll never be elite, b/c his workrate is so lackluster.

i don't know what kinda fight you guys were expecting, in fact, a few *******s even speculated this fight would be some kind of "war," and that it'd be better than mayweather-mosley, but most ppl knew clottey would spend the whole fight with his guard up, and manny teeing off to an easy UD.

i saw the fight i was expecting, which is why i always considered manny-clottey a shame from the jump. clottey's just not the type of fighter conducive to digging deep and pulling out tough fights against great fighters, and from here on out, he'll be the litmus test that determines whether fighter is good, or actually could be great....he's a gatekeeper, and he showed that tonite.

It was obvious from round 3 and on that Clottey just wanted to survive and say he went 12 with Manny. He collected his money and I doubt he will have any major fights after this

I gotta admit I knew how the fight would go down but I thought there would be a little bit more drama than that lol. The fight went EXACTLY like I expected like damn. I hope now you guys understand that going to Clottey was not at all a legitimate replacement for floyd. It was a decent stay busy fight and nothing more and it damn sure doesn't equate to the intrigue of Mayweather-Moseley and I'm positive that on may 1st the actual fight will far outdo this one.

totally agree. i went to a bar with some of my "casual boxing fan" friends, and before the fight i said everything i could to hype clottey, and assure them it would be a good fight. i even tried to believe myself, it would be a good fight, just trying to get excited about the thing....

in the end i felt bad, b/c the fight went exactly as i originally thought, and everybody left the bar saying what a horrible fight it was, and how it was a "sparring" session. they were right, and the worst part about it was that they paid for all the drinks and food, and i didn't pay for a damn thing.

clottey's a good fighter, but i don't know how ppl thought it wood be some kind of war, or a great back-and-forth fight. watching clottey's previous fights, i was pretty sure he'd be there until the end, but there was never a time i found anything he does extremely well that would give him a legitimate shot against manny.

clottey tried, but he's an inactive, not very fast, and not a big punching fighter. put him in there against an active guy that IS fast, and can take a punch, and this is the fight you're gonna get.

Yeah clottey was disappointing alrite but pac was awesome imo, if clottey opened up more he would have got hurt more and he wasnt willing to risk that, shame really as it spoiled the fight and made it a bit frustrating but it was still nice to see pac work, what a class act he is
