All of a sudden Pac should have to do this after being slandered? Floyd never worried about this until a fight with Manny was being discussed. All of a sudden he should be able to change the rules at his own whim? Bull****. If the governing bodies or state athletic commissions put this rule in effect and Pac refuses.....its all on him. Until that time Floyd is the one I see holding up the fight by trying to make his own rules. I don't want to hear anything about Floyd meeting Pacs demands. Fact is Manny didn't slander Floyd and try changing any rules. If Floyd wants this fight he can follow the same rules as everybody else. If he can't accept those rules, like he always did before, he doesn't really want to fight.

A lot of people seem to want to blame Pac. Where were all you people, and why weren't you worried before?
Changing the rules: Catch weights and 10 Million dollar penalties, when were these things required by governing bodies and athletic commissions?

Stipulations just like the extra test.

dont you get it jab? if you get accused of **** in the united states, you cant just use the american legal system be found innocent & be done with it. you have to go through a chinese communist police investigation because your accuser is not satisfied with the rules, regulation set in place in the U.S.

even though there is not a single evidence against pac, no failed steroid tests, no victor conte or steroid pharmacy or connection accusing him of steroids, no bitter ex trainer accusing him of steroid use, no hidden bloody gauzes, syringes a la brian mcnamee, not a single iota of evidence against pac but since mayweather's paranoia is not satisfied the burden of proof is against pac.

      what?

It then really made him think twice and the safety 1st mindset in him took over and the money wasn't worth the risk so he finds a way to get out without seeming like he wanted out though like always reasonable hardcore fans see through his usual ploys.

Asking a fighter, a first ballot hall of famer, a icon, 1# p4p best fighter in the world, arguably the biggest star of the sport, a test that has never been asked by any other fighter in the 100 plus year history of professional boxing is a down right insulting to Pacquiao.

The fight not being made due to testing controversy gives Fraudulent jr. a reason to not fight another threatening opponent.

He can say "i wanted to fight pacquiao but he didnt want to do the test." It somehow legitimizes him not fighting pacquiao.

Its a very nefarious yet smart move by mayweather that has backfired. Now more & more boxing scribes are pointing out the hypocrisy & contradictions of golden boy & team mayweather.

It basically gives Mayweather a excuse if he losses & even if Pac beat him & passes all the tests, there will always be that doubt. That is what team mayweather wanted all along.

The fight doesnt get made & Fraudulent jr. gets to save face. He gets to hide behind the extra testing & gets to put blame on Pacquiao.

It is now legitimized to the average schmo, the mainstream fan, the superficial analysis is that Pac is using & ducked the fight with Fraud jr. when in reality & the deeper conclusion is it was Mayweather who was hesitant to get in the ring with Pacquiao.

          The hypocrisy of our democracy.

Pacquiao wasn't gonna do anything that Mayweather wasn't gonna do himself.

There are zero dissadvantages with random blood testing.

well, there are some dissadvantages IF you are on PED's...

Everybody knows that the alphabet boys wont do anything unless it means they stand to gain money and the commisions wont lift a finger if they have to pay for anything.

So my point is, and that's what I think is the key you are missing my friend, is that testing for illegal substances is EXPENSIVE. If the commisions or the alphabet boys came up with a demand for a rigid testing procedure, they'd have to point to a way of financing it. Of course this will never happen untill the public demands for such a scheme is very loud.

So you cannot ask or expect them to introduce a scheme as that would make fighters fight in other states or for other belts if they save money doing so.

I wish they let everyone do drugs so this mess would end.

I need to pull up that legalize Peds thread Jack made again.

You are right though. I think this could possibly kill some fights especially championship fights with puny purses.

I don't think some kind of legalized doping would work at all. It's simply too dangerous and the public, I think, wants to believe that what they are paying to watch is something pure. I think the only way forward is stricter testing and I don't give a dime how it's introduced.

PS: Welcome to Skagen. Beautiful isn't it?

I just felt pac should take the test because it would make the biggest fight of the decade and it wouldn't physically hurt pac for the fight. Also I felt that floyd had somewhat legitimate concerns seeing how pac's punching power and resilience seem to be greater now than they used to. Some may disagree with me but I have observed that. I mean a punch from marquez wobbled manny before and cotto's punches do nothing and he seems to coast through the rounds. I'm not saying steroids is the only possible explanation for this but its legitimate to ask for more reassurance given how big this fight is and the fact that such a small amount of blood being taken would have no effect on pac physically.
