Calzaghe to help Kessler prepare for Froch!

Lionheart-boxing.dk today writes, that Joe Calzaghe by himself has contacted Mikkel Kessler's camp as enters the final phases of preparations to his super-six fight against carl Froch on April 24.

The danish website quotes tabloid ekstrabladet and states that Calzaghe is to have the role of motivator in the final weeks before the fight.

It's Kessler's advisor Simon Lundt who has the contact to Calzaghe, but Lundt won't comment as of now. Kessler himself is keen on the idea:

"I've just heard it, and I'm quite honoured. If Joe has some tricks and ideas I'd be happy to listen."

It's a well-known fact that Carl Froch and Joe Calzaghe doesn't like each other.

I hope that this isn't just a one time deal. Kessler problem is with mover "with intelligence". He beat Mundine but you will never confuse him with a thinker.

I don't see Kessler having a problem with anyone in the tourney except Ward and Dirrell. Joe can give Mikkel looks and things that only an elite fighter can give him in sparring.

Mikkel has a new team now so at least he taking a good step in the right direction.

fight could go either way.. both have a good chin but can go down , froch was down against taylor and nearly down against dirrell

i think Froch will be too strong for Kessler, Froch has a granit chin and he will just be like Terminator !!

A chin comparison wouldn't favour Froch IMO.
