I think it's a mediastunt. Calzaghe and Kessler is good friends as far as I know.

If Kessler beats Froch after a war Calzaghe will get a ton of credit as a motivaor/trainer. That should boost his promotional business.

His promoting days are over for the time being AFAIK, it just weren't picking up and even Enzo's stopped training cos it's all faded.

I think this could really motivate Kessler, he seems to need to hone his tactics and know what he's dealing with better with fighters. Saying that Joe wasn't the greatest for researching and preparing specific styles necessarily, he relied on adjusting mid fight which I don't think Mikkell can so much.

froch can beat kessler if froch fights dirty and on the inside. kessler doesn't know what to do in those situations it seems.
