      Good points.

Oscar a year prior just beat the hell out of Mayorga. If I remember correctly. The HBO commentators said something like "what ring rust" Oscar looks great.
How about fighting Jose Luis Castillo twice??
Maybe Zab Judah and Bladomir just because they were #1 WW.

I kind of give you those two, but they're not really "live" opponents. It's funny that even an old Oscar two fights away from retirement was able to push him to a SD though.
That SD should have been a UD though 9-3 or 8-4 clearly in favour of Floyd. Just because a judge messed up doesn't mean it was that close of a fight annie, Floyd clearly won 8 rounds out of 12. He is facing Sugar Shane Mosley next who is a live opponent...ranked #1 Welterweight and #3 P4P, coming off an impressive stoppage of Margacheato.

The gap between Pacquaio and Mayweather will be on full display again when Floyd struggles with Mosley. People will remember how Manny toyed with and destroyed Cotto, he's going to dominate Clottey again tonight and Floyd is going to go tooth and nail with Shane. I expect the Floyd fans to ignore that all, and Floyd will talk a load of ****, but he'll find a way to avoid Manny. Because Floyd knows he's in for a savage beating if he ever gets in the ring with Pac.

You know what, I put my hands up, I did think it was a clear win for Floyd (8 rounds though??? CLEARLY???)

Having said that, Oscar was competitive.

I give you Sugared Shane Mosley, he is a live opponent, though obviously not prime.

Triangular logic means nothing in boxing... Floyd would beat Pacquaio with surprising ease.

i expect Pac fans to ignore the sportbook odds offering $5.60 for a Clottey victory...........what is SSM paying against Floyd????.....

that is all u need to know about which fight is more competitive............

It isn't triangular. I'm not talking about A>B>C. Look at common opponents at 140/147/154, the weights were Floyd and Pac fight now. Oscar? Hatton? Now we will have the Cotto/Shane comparison. Pac's total body of work at these weights against Floyd's. And please don't mention Floyd's drubbing of the bloated shell of Juan Manuel Marquez. Pac would have blitzed Marquez out in the ring that night in a few rounds.

Sorry, but that IS triangular logic.

How Cotto fought Shane has no bearing on how he fought Pacquaio, just as how Floyd will tackle Shane will have zero bearing on how he will fight Manny.

I didn't even bring it up. I didn't bring up triangular logic in the first place.
