good point and i dont think he ever planned on making weight. make a lightweight come up to a catch weight of 144 and then weigh 146, gutless.
and then don't weigh in on fight night, he probably had 10+ pounds on marquez in the ring. not to mention the extra 10 pounds marquez was carrying just slowed him down, he gained it all in the mid section, as far as i could tell. marquez should not be fighting above 135.

no it was actually a good response and you've sidestepped your original question. sanctioning rules says a WW fight is between 140-147, if the fighters agree on somewhere in between, it's still not breaking any rules.
