    THE TRUTH

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight.

    punches landed

    Vitali 156

    Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted and worn down from the accumulation of punches, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission that night and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

Vitali intimidated the **** out of the scared Lewis after the fight and made him look like a *****. All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and boo'd Lewis after the fight.

    Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 25 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Before the fight, Lewis said he was very motivated, in good shape and wanted to keep fighting for a long time.

Lewis was coming off the KO win over Tyson. In the Lewis/Tyson post fight interview Lewis stated "I'm like fine wine, I get better with age".

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement. That's a FACT!

Props to all the people here who know what happened in that fight and are not in total denial saying that Leenox was lucky. They were both dead tired, but in the last round, Lennox was coming cack, and Vitali was holding on to dear life.

Notice how Lennox chases Vitali in the last round and how Vitali initiates all the holding because he's dead tired.

There is not only Vitali who is still bitter over that fight... His army of idiotic nuthuggers are too.

              Totally disagree,
              very biased article.

Who the **** this journalist think he's to give Vitali's lessons...

Lennox won,he's right, but Vitali was in his plain right to ask a rematch.

Yall only are Vit's haters or Lewis nuthuggers.

Fact is Vitali was outboxing Lewis and wobbled him, then Lewis did cut badly Vitali with two tremendous punches, but Vitali was still able to fight,Valero get a third eye as well in his last fight and what happened at the end??

If I,or you were Vitali, based on the fact he was still able to fight, and Lewis promised a rematch, yall would be bitter for years as well.

              I totally undestand Vitali.
Plus,it's the only Vitali's real loss.

I think Lewis retired cause he knew he was past his best and in a rematch he knew Vitali might well have beaten him given the tough time he had in the first fight, but he wasn't in his best shape. At the time of the stoppage Lewis was coming on more, Vitali couldn't continue, he got tore a new eye socket. Lewis was hurt at times true but he stood up to it.
HA Ha, that was a funny line

Lewis beat Vitali, because Vitali cuts easy.

                    I'm not doin stan's exuses.

Look,Vitali get cut against Johnson altough Johnson throwed nothing and can't punch. That says a lot.

Vitali cuts easy, and it's the easier way to beat him.
                    Props to Lennox,he did it.

                    BUT,look the last Valero's fight,the cut was a bad,Valero had a teen's vagina on his head.
The ref could have stop as well.At the end Valero won.

The ref was a **** because the fight would have last two more rounds.

And like I said,Lewis promised a rematch, and Vitali won the round 6 just before the stoppage.
Everybody would be bitter. The fight was the two best heavies of the last 10,maybe 15 years.

I'm not telling bs like"Vit would have beat him",but just,I totaly understand his bitterness.
And altough it's a loss on his record,he proved he can fight in that one.

And Vit vs Lennox is the best HW's fight I saw in the last decade HANDS DOWN.
Here is the real fan talk.

Puh-leeeeeeeeeeez. Quitting against Byrd is as real a loss as it gets. He should've taken a tip from Danny Williams (in the Potter fight) in how to look like a warrior with one arm hanging loose.

I like Vitali and all, but that quittage will - and should - forever be a blemish on his record. Byrd TKO9.
