How is Pac/Roach cherry picking Clottey when he's the top welterweight available:

-Mosley and Berto were fighting each other, and when Berto pulled out coz of the earthquake Pac already signed the contract to fight Clottey

-Him and Mayweather's superfight has just fallen through

-Margarito got his license suspended, Pac just TKO'd Cotto and Paul Williams just came off a fight with Martinez

-He obviously does not want to campaign at any weight lower than 147 since hes trying to prove himself at welter

STFU, he's trying to prove his self at welterweight, in the middle of mayweather/pacquaio negotiations, he Arum was trying to get manny to chase yuri foreman at 154lbs. The day after the negotiations for mayweather/pacquaio were broke off, they already had a fight agreed upon in principle with Clottey that got signed the following week. If he wanted to test himself at that weight he wouldve signed the fu-king contract to fight a real WW. Since then they cant keep mayweathers name out their mouths, you dont even have to ask their opinion, they openly tell you, after the fact, that Pacquaio wants to knock him out so bad, my opinion to pacquiao, get out of Top Rank and from underneath Alex ariza's ass, because your guilty by association that an the fact that you openly refused RANDOM blood test.

clottey got picked because floyd jr went down the tube...mosley and berto was already scheduled to meet...so pacquiao, berto, mosley, and floyd jr round out the top 4 welterweights...clottey was next highest available boxer...rated #5...so if not clottey, then who, someone outside of the top 5?

for your info, cotto beat mosley...and although many had mosley as the welterweight king, i had cotto as the welterweight king for his head to head win over mosley...cotto beat mosley, pacquaio beat cotto...so pacquiao is the king of the welterweight, not mosley....pacquiao beat cotto more decisive than did mosley did to cotto.

OMG, the double standard in picking opponents for mayweather and pacquiao ring loud again. Remember when mayweather announced his comeback, everybody and the mother said that if mayweather was serious about making a comeback why not wait until after that pacquiao/hatton fight. The negotiations for mayweather/pacquaio fell apart in the early weeks of January, while berto/mosley was scheduled for the end of that month. Why couldnt manny wait to see the winner of that fight before he faced a guy that lost to the last person he demolished. Seriously, i like Manny too, but to a lot of you guys he just can't do anything wrong,

so because pacquiao said that, then fighting floyd jr would be called cherry picking by your definition...cuz they (pacquiao/roach) knows that they will whoop fraud jr.

And this was said after he refused to sign the contracts right. Problem is simple here, when Pacquaio chose to fight Clottey, nobody in the mother expected Mayweather to fight mosley, but unlike Pacquaio mayweather waited to see the results, and lucky for him the fight was cancelled. If pacquiao wanted to fight a guy ranked higher than #5 he couldve waited too. But he saw an opponent with a style he felt was good for him and took the fight. Im not saying he's cherry picking,but what are you saying here, that CLottey is better than Mosley.

clottey was picked for his style of boxing. he does not have foot speed. his hand speed is suspect and he has a low per round punch out put. when floyd says he will ko an opponet he is called an arrogant thug. when roach and pac say they will ko clottey. they are called masters. so hypocritical

i disagree. i've always thought team pacquiao ever needed to come up with a vastly different gameplan for floyd. I've always thought pac's style in general is the worst matchup floyd will ever have in his career and for the 1st time in his pro career floyd feels threatened to lose his 0 and hence why they come up with crazy testing demands and trying to defame pacquiao in the public's eyes.

but on the real i really believe they'll fight at the end of the year.

you feel pac has the style to beat floyd??????? when pac throws his punches he is often of balance and wide open for a counter which floyd will give him. he also has wide punches. if you look at the second fight with jmm, he countered manny at will. and jmm is not as fast as floyd who is the most accurate boxer in the game. style wise, i see manny as an easy "W" for floyd. i see shane as a bigger challenge for floyd than pac. but i see floyd beating shane also IMO

yeah, i don't see how that translates to boxing abilty.

it deals with where a person learned how to box. if you learned from a mexican town you will probably be a blood and guts type of fighter. if you learned from a place like philly or detroit you will have been taught lateral movement, counter punching, proper foot work and trap setting. clottey fights in the blood and guts style. str8 ahead ****ing away at your opponet. but clottey has a low punch rate so i dont see him winning this bout.
