His fan base is one of the best ones i've ever seen. The british sure do love their boxers as much as mexicans do..

good move for his health...i was not a fan of hatton but i enjoyed watching his fights due to his insane fanbase. as much as i hate that song, it sure is catchy. happy retirement ricky.

good for hattons health, very bad for las vegas beer profits. good career and prob had the most fans that any fighter has ever had.

i don't see why he should hang them up. everyones says for his health? he has no dementia and just needed some time off. but if that's what he wants then let it be.

Smart move. The fights that were being thrown around would have resulted in Hatton getting KO'd for a third consecutive bout. His other option, fighting a C class fighter (no-name no-talent boxer) would give him a win but would also bring plenty of flack.

Guy had a very good career and made plenty of money. There is no need to put himself at risk with all his health problems and all. Time to put those gloves up.
