if you took a look at pacquiaos fights going back almost 2 years, pacquiao has had a fighting weight of about low to mid 140's. the only thing changed was the weight classes he fought in --> to lightweight, to jr welterweight, now welterweight.
now against clottey and almost 2 yrs and 3 divisions after having a fighting weight of low to mid 140's, pacquaio will probably have a fighting weight a few pounds more...say high 140's to low 150's...if manny weighs over 147, that will be the first time he will weigh more than that...i dont see anything abnormal with that.
compare that to floyd jr who probably weigh high 150's on fight nite, who prefer to keep his fighting weight a secret...
also, if you want to compare weights between floyd jr and pacquiao, compare both of them when they first started boxing , not when they turned pros...because pacquiao didnt have an amateur career that floyd jr had...floyd jr had almost 100 amateur fights to pacquiaos zero...so you have to compare when they both started boxing, amateur and/or pros...both started at 106...
floyd jr fought as high as 154, while manny only went as high as 147...so the rise in weight went quicker for floyd jr...could be steroids.
btw, floyd jr lost power? maybe because he has brittle hands...dont you think?
