Pacquiao went from 106 to 147. Floyd went from 106 to 154.

I have yet to see an intelligent reply to the fact that Floyd has moved up just as high, actually higher in weight than Paq, despite the fact that they started out at the same weight. Paq haters insist that he is doing something illegal because he went from 106 to 147, but offer no answers as to how Mayweather went from 106 to 154.

Does Mayweather have any problem with OST's?

Is Mayweather taking OST's with Shane in his next fight?

Paq simply waited until later in his career to move up. He was quite busy at 130 for several years with the likes of Morales, Barrera, and Jmm. Floyd moved from 135 to 154 rather more rapidly, and did it earlier in his career than Paq did. Is Bhop a cheater because he chose to wait until he was 40 to leap two weight classes? Certainly not, and if you remember right after he beat Tarver at 175 he was very serious about moving to heavyweight. His quote was "I will weigh 205 in my next fight", but he couldnt get the heavyweight champion he was gunning for to give him a shot.

When Paq vs Floyd was first being discussed, Floyd said he wanted the fight to be at 154 and be fought with heavier gloves, taking away Paq's power. Paq and his camp said no, they had just weighed at 145 and 146 for their previous fights.

              what i dont get:

              pac 106 to 147

              may 106 to 154

may discredits pac because he beats washed up opponents YET

compliments him by saying he has improved to much.

however, i really wish pac would just take the damn test. wish we should petition NSAC for it.

Because Floyd had just shown that he would come in over the agreed limit even with a penalty, apparently 300K per pound isnt enough to make him hold to his word.

Go back in the boxingscene archives to Dec 4th 09, there is an article regarding this. I dont have enough computer smarts to know how to link the article, but I will try. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=23910
