          have to consider that;

          1) Boxing isn;t a big sport there, surprised if they even put it on TV with all the other cricket and hockey tournies

          2)Culture, diet. Most Indians, or Hindus shall I say are strict vegetarians which isnt ideal for Boxer...

          you can imagine on an indian cricket forus, some comes up with this thread..

          USA has 300m people.....

            to be honest probably not....

            its a shame that boxing is not hugely popular in India... those in this post that would like to see India invest more in boxers to produce more boxers and make the sport more international I totally agree... just like many other countries...

            Boxing in India needs to raise its profile in order to secure more investment...

              Tim Bradley is a vegan (pure vegetarian) and it's worked well for him.

                  yeah but its a bit like saying why doesn't the usa produce any decent haevyweights when they have a population over 300 mil, and they care more about boxing more than any other country? thats way more pathetic imo

                    becuz he's a male model??

                    maybe boxing was just a vehicle for him.

                    he'd probaly rather be an actor or smth.
                    His boxing style, hooks and uppercut are compared by the media with style of actor Sylvester Stallone as the character Rocky Balboa in the Rocky film series. Vijender cites him as one his primary influences
