The one guy somehow insinuates that just because America doesn't play cricket, that somehow is an excuse for India to not even compete in Boxing. The world wants India and China and every country for that matter to be involved. It will only help in the long run.

India are a sporting nation just not is ones that r on your radar - Cricket & Field Hockey r massive their and they have been regular Olympic Gold medalist in Field Hockey for nearly 100 years.... India also has one of the most ancient civiliations / society in the world... the west didnt destroy their history - as such several traditional sports r still very propular..... also the concepts behind almost all martial arts especially the concept of Chi comes from the ancient yogic texts in the Vedas..... India is rich cultured country with many facets..... it has amazing things to shot just like every other country in the world.... im sure the history of your people has many things u r proud of..... I will continue to assume so until I EDUCATE myself otherwise.....
