You really think after everything shane has done in his career that he wouldn't wanna fight him, he is fighting floyd at 38!

Shane is a warrior a throw back.
The 10 years in the making thing is more to sell the fight as a grudge match. Shane has never been afraid of Floyd but people spin it like Floyd has always been afraid of Shane even though he was interested in fighting Shane. No one ducked anyone.

Where did you get this from? Hes not brave?
No read the post, I would never say any fighter isn't brave having competed myself. The greatest fighters put themselves in fights where the odds were stacked against them, floyd doesn't have that type of personality thats why in my eyes, and a lot of people for that matter he will never be up there with the GREATEST.

Ray leonard, Ali, Hearns, Duran, etc. These guys fought a bunch of real dangerous fights, because they fought for glory, for greatness, they challenged themselves, they took losses because they were willing to fight the best consistently, I mean Duran nearly got his head knocked off in his 2nd fight with hearns, because he was willing to risk a loss to achieve something amazing. Floyd is made of different stuff. Talent wise he is up there with them...but for **** sake the guy wouldn't even spar with james degale the british middleweight olympian, who has had what like 5 pro fights because "he was too big". Come on! You think Pacquiao would say no, or mosley. Floyd knows how to look after himself in a boxing ring

Floyd has taken plenty of risks in the ring. Hernandez while he was a prospect. Corralles when he was 33-0. Castillo the Number 1 LW in his fist fight. Had a close fight then rematched him. A guy protecting his "o" doesnt re-match Castillo. He also fought Oscar at 154. And now Shane Mosley. After trying to fight the Number 1 P4P Pacquiao.

There isnt a boxer that would ever be favored against Floyd. Hes already an ATG in mosts eyes. There isnt Durans, Haglers, or Hearns in Floyds era. He can only fight whos in his era. The ONLY ATG around his weight class that he couldve ever fought is Pac just to put things in perspective on how different the sport is today.

No I don't think that either did, ducked is too strong a word anyway

But I do think the fight made most sense after the oscar fight, or the hatton fight. After oscar it should been shane, or cotto, but he took hatton which was fine, more money, undefeated guy pretty good legacy fight. But then they were there, he takes the break. Comes back should have been shane, not marquez. These were the times in my opinion when the fight should have happened. I mean beating oscar and shane, or oscar and cotto back to back or even after hatton that would have been real impressive.

I don't think too many people would fight Shane in the first fight back after a layoff. As fans we should be used to seeing tuneups. Mayweathers was very high profile is the only difference.
