Unlike Calzaghe Floyd is back with a vengeance which is clearly evident with him fighting Shane. You think Baldo was Floyd's best win? LOL. Your more of a hater than I am a fan my dude. Floyd is fighting Shane!!!!! How can anyone hate on that. Manny wanted no part of Shane!!! No matter what nobody says Marquez in his 1st fight back then Shane is a very good look especially if it's about names and resumes like you said. Another reason Manny is suspect is Freddy just said on Road To Dallas that Manny is a light-wt who has to continuously eat to maintain welter-wt. So what he's really saying is a light-wt is knocking out natural welter-wts. Something is seriously wrong with that picture that is why Floyd is absolutely right for demanding random testing.

Weight classes matter so stop bringing up Marquez like it was anything but a showcase fight. Mayweather vs. Marquez was what De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao was supposed to be like. Both are nothing more than circus fights. Hatton has always been trash to me and I'm happy he's off the scene. People only thought he was good because he was popular. So please tell me May's biggest win since he left 135 because I honestly don't know. Pac is not a lightweight. I believe he's a 140 pounder. And if you were watching his fights you would know that other than Hatton he won by beating his opponents into submission, not with 1 punch. Hatton was his only 1 shot KO, and that could've happened to anyone because he was hit square on the chin and didn't even see the punch coming. Floyd is featherfisted but look what he did to Gatti. A person can only take so many flush shots before their body gives out on them.

I just posted this for my potna Rome who asked me this very same question. It's alot of reading but here it go if ya'll wanna read it. Feedback is more than welcome as long as it aint that name calling mess ie. Gayweather, *****, *******, Roidhead. I dont get down with that ****.
The key to beating the Floyd we know now, is a fast strong up-jab, behind a tight guard from the southpaw stance. You also cant be scared to hook off the jab. Floyd has a few different gears he uses in the ring depending on his opponent in regards to the use of his jab(when he uses it)
1. Is the soft jab that he uses for spacing. If you are smart when you see him do this he is more then likely setting up his exit strategy; meaning straight right to the head or body is on it's way. But you kind of have to play the game of probability with it because he does hook off of the soft jab(remember this used to be Floyd's money punch and still is, he just doesn't show it in an attept to make you forget it's there).
2. FOOTWORK!!!!! dealing with Floyd involves knowing(feelin) where your feet are(Not like Allen Green who looks at his feet constantly), but keeping your lead foot on the outside of Floyd's(If your a Southpaw), If you are Ortho the you need to have your feet spaced a lil closer together about Shoulder width so that you take small slides to cut the ring off. Too much space in your stance and Floyd will expose it by throwing a lead(right or left) while he's on his way out, leaving you looking for him off balanced(bad combo right there).
3. You have to trick Floyd (or attempt to). The best trap that I could see to set would be to shorten your punches to give him a false sense of range, and wait for him to get comfortable with that range then drop the hammer on him after keeping him in range with a short jab. It's imparative that you out think Floyd. Pressure like JLC doesn't work anymore. He has fixed those mistakes.
You know how they say the law is always one step behind the criminals? Well it also goes for Floyd. His opponent is always one step behind him.
These are just SOME of the things I can see that you have to be able to do to beat Floyd. You cannot throw your punches wide or from too far out with Floyd. It's all about ring smarts, real estate of the ring(can't let Floyd have too much real estate), and strong fundamentals(strong jab). And you have to change the game plan every couple of rounds because he WILL figure you out.
That's all I can come up with by going off of Floyd's tendencies that I can see in my head, but if I watch tape on Floyd I might beable to pick up some of his habits to see how bad they really are. I doubt there are many, because he is constantly adapting to whats in front of him.
My question for all ya'll is this........How and what do you think Shane needs to do in order to solve the boxing puzzle/riddle that is Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

Floyd Mayweather Jr is actually setting a trap on Shane Mosley... and it seem Mosley is getting to the Bait of Floyd... Mosley should have not gone dancing a Tango with Floyd, he should have immediately punched Floyd thereby getting an upper hand and instead will make Floyd get a second thought about touting Mosley again.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. was also setting a trap on Manny Pacquiao... that's actually the reasons why he demanded for an Olympic style random blood testing... unfortunately for Floyd his wickedness back-fired to his own faced. Thus despite his upcoming fight with Shane Mosley, Floyd keeps on farting not only through his ASS but also through his MOUTH, and just recently Floyd is also farting through his NOSE.
When interviewed on "why he is doing a shame campaign against Manny Pacquiao?" Floyd could not reply a straight answer... he instead, acted like a "senile" person, or otherwise it could be that "Floyd lost his Mind".

*Yawn* DLH deep down is rooting for May
Game plan, no game plan, jab, no jab... this is Marquez part 2. Floyd is a different fighter now thats his father is back now only in his corner, but his life. Much more elusive now and hard to hit. He wants to makes all his fighters look like fools and reclaim his top spot

baldomir? come on. gatti? love gatti but gatti had bee thro WARS and was done for years before.
floyd only came back for money, that is it..
if you truly love the sport you dont retire twice by the age of 31.
it just doesnt happen.
if you love the sport and are there for competition then you test yourself against the best like shane mosley.......ala leornard, hearns hagler and duran.
floyd will never be in that legendary elite categorie like he thinks he should because he avoided the best at his time which were marg, pwill, cotto and a prime shane.
