A Cotto fight would've been good but nothing like the hype of a Oscar fight or a Hatton fight and again you can't fight a Top Rank fighter without dealing with Top Rank BS unless you have a in and out deal. Floyd didn't walk away from a measly Cotto fight he walked away from a 30+ million dollar rematch with Oscar. Now you tell me which one would you have taken?
Floyd was gonna take the Oscar rematch but he felt he needed the rest, besides he aint want to deal with negotiating with Oscar, because Oscar wasnt trying to sweeten the deal. ODH was trying to treat Floyd as if HE had lost the 1st fight. FMJ wasnt havin it.

no, floyd turned down $70 million

      fuzzy math

i don't think you understand. I'm not talking about dlh or hatton. I'm just making the statemetn that the best time to fight cotto was after the mosley fight and before the margo fight.

Floyd didn't walk away from a measly Cotto fight he walked away from a 30+ million dollar rematch with Oscar. Now you tell me which one would you have taken?
fighting oscar was the right business move, but cotto would've netted him more than baldomir.

Corley was a damn good B rated fighter and a fast southpaw at that. Try telling Cotto that night that Corley was B rated. The ref could've stopped that fight cause Corley came seconds from derailing the dream for Cotto. If Mayweather struggled with the champ@135 why wouldn't a strong, young KO artist@140 accept his challenge? Although Cotto did get better @147 he still was predictable and fought with too much bravado to beat Floyd. Floyd would've outthought him and outslicked him all night. That was Cotto downfall, his bravado.

he didn't do **** to me homie. he said what he said and i respect him for that. but i still stand by my original comment. i think it's just ****** to be talkin about talkin about what can be done to somebody even tho it's never been done. like mayweather said there is a blueprint to beat shane mosley he's been beat 5 times. but there is no blueprint to beat floyd mayweather. so he and everyone else can use my post as an example but it is what it is. everyone talkin about how to beat mayweather but the **** has never been done.

IDK Rome my homie. That was Floyd's 1st fight at 140. Floyd was still on his way up, but to answer your question.....Naw I thought Floyd was gonna do him in, I didnt expect it to go all 12 rds but that shows you how tough ChopChop was back then.

I can understand him side stepping Cotto, cause he did try to catch Cotto after he came up from LW, but Bob wasnt having that. Bob said Cotto wasn't ready.
Hey I'm not mad he side step Cotto he wanted to walk away from the sport hey.I just don't like when his hardcore fans(not you but others)tell me cotto did not wanna fight him when he was still a kid.Cotto was on the come up and mayweather is not a fighter you fight on the come up.You fight him when you are ready. No?
