Consistency and uniformity. Requesting testing for the Pac fight does nothing for the sport because it's only one fight. Again, Golden Boy said they wanted to clean up the sport just like Mayweather said, but none of their fighters except Mosley are undergoing random testing. Marquez isn't, Khan isn't, etc. When you truly want to make change, you want to create uniformity. Is Tim Bradley going to do random testing for his next fight? Doubt it. But Shaw was on the Manny hate wagon talking about if Pac wants to fight Bradley he wants random testing. So now all of sudden Bradley doesn't have to get tested because he's not fighting Pac. If Shaw was requesting testing for the right reasons, Bradley would be getting tested in all of his future fights, regardless of the opponent. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Ask yourself this, Is Mayweather requiring that all of the fighters on the PPV card get random testing done? If not, why not, since he supposedly wants to clean up the sport. All fighters should be going through the grinder, not just the stars.

All this has made the boxing world take notice and everybody is talking now so mission accomplished. It all begins with discussing. I Manny didn't look suspect we probably wouldn't be having this discussion but yet and still it was overdue. It doesn't matter if it came from a dog the issue needed to be discussed and dealt with. Maybe he is requiring everyone to be tested but the main thing is the main event fighters are leading by example. I agree everybody should be tested.

If you knew anything about boxing you wouldn't agree with some dude saying crazy **** like PBF weighs in @155-160 when the dude never weighs more than 150 on fight night. Most of his fights he weighs around 148 why? because he is a natural 140 pounder. Floyd never weighed 155 in his whole career for a fight! Do your homework and stop poppin pointless **** cause thats just what your doing. Marquez called out Floyd cause he was trying to force Manny into a 3rd fight not for no payday. Dude wanted a 3rd fight and was chasing Manny.
Lol. You're a Mayweather groupie. I don't care about Mayweather being a draw. Obviously you think he's cutting you a check. Lol. Have fun waiting or that. Why did Mayweather ask not to be weighed on fight night then? Because he knew he outweighed Marquez by a large amount so it would look bad. MAYWEATHER HIMSELF DECLINED TO BE WEIGHED BY THE HBO SCALES ON THE NIGHT OF THE FIGHT! Do the math moron! Mayweather is a full fledged welter, which is why he wasn't trying to kill himself to make 144. If Mayweather is a 140 pounder how come he came in 2 pounds over the 144 agreed upon weight? He's a welter! Duh! Marquez wanted a payday. Marquez doesn't want to see Manny now. He knows he would get the beats put on him. Marquez's days are numbered.

If it was overdue then why wait for Manny before you make change?! When something is overdue you don't wait, you take action. Period. Go look back at all the forum discussions PRIOR to Mayweather Sr. made his accusations and you WON'T find a damn thing about steroids or Olympic testing and that's fact. No one was talking about this. You agree everyone should be tested. Cool. I have no issues with testing. BUT WHY ARE MOSLEY AND MAY GETTING TESTED BUT THE REST OF THE FIGHTERS ON THE CARD ARE NOT? If Mayweather wanted to set an example he would require that everyone on the card gets the random treatment to prove his point. Wouldn't you at least start there? Be truthful.

Not at all my dude I just call it what it is. I had Corrales against Floyd and the name was Sugar when I laced them up so you know Shane is my dude also. Im just a real boxing fan and Im being real. Floyd may be more of a welter now but I still say his best fighting weight is 140. Marquez is a looney dude he still thinks he can beat Manny. I think if he can get Manny to submit to random testing it would be a interesting fight @140. He may lose but he's a hard headed mexican.

so all you were left with was a good bit of ineffective pressure

the fight was a UD with oscar winning 3 maybe 4 rds and thats being generous
LOL Floyd didn't take **** away, Oscar stopped jabbing on his own, Floyd wasn't doing **** when that jab was coming his way.

Look, I'm not into e-beefing and all that garbage. But people are being delusional in thinking that a loser who said "legacy don't pay bills" gives a damn about the sport. This idiot has said that he is not only the GOAT, but bigger than boxing. Really? Mayweather has given nothing back to boxing. In fact, he's helped to erode it by constantly bringing up PPV sales when considering whether or not someone is a worthy opponent and the ****** masses are following suit. Floyd can't make 140 anymore than Cotto can. He's grown into his body. He looked better at 140 in my opinion but he can't make the weight so what's done is done. I just do not understand how people can be fans of this dude. The talent yes, but the man? Absolutely not. My favorite ball players are Kobe and Jordan. Why? Because being the best is all they care about. The legacy was always more important than money. I could never be a LeBron James fan, because his #1 goal was to be the first billionaire athlete. I can't respect that money hungry mentality. People who think that way will never be greater than people who are driven by being the greatest because they just don't have the same passion and desire in my personal opinion.

this is a hell of a post man, mad props...

secondly, people say pac is losing because he is making less without floyd.

well apparently it means more to him to make less than to give floyd the satisfaction of dictating and impressing unheardof rules upon him....

having said that, i still cannot figure out why pac just didnt take the test and get his chance to whoop on floyd...

Really? So how did de la Hoya manage to do both? It's not a choice of one or the other. You can have both if you choose to do so. Jordan is the greatest baller of all time and is sitting pretty on his mountain of money. Kobe will be too when he retires. Boxing fans ******ly think taking top quality fights will hinder a fighter's ability to make money when it will in fact do the exact opposite. But whatever. It's his legacy. But him and his fans need to understand that's why he doesn't get the respect he desperately craves. He chose money over legacy instead of taking both when he had the chance. When he's not ranked as highly as he thinks he should be and everybody stops talking about him when he retires, maybe he'll have regrets. All I know is when he retired the first time no one but his fans missed him. The sport moved on just fine without him because so many great fights were being made.

No ebeef here my dude I do the man thing when I need to but when you call me a groupie I gotta respond to that. If legacy wasn't important Floyd wouldnt be Floyd so that's clearly all slick talk. You have to be a special MF to be a pro boxer and a 5 division champ gotta have love for the game. We're fans because to us it's what he does in the ring and not his mouth but at the same time Floyd (unlike Manny) is helping dudes see their biggest paydays. Try telling a broke ass former champion it doesn't matter and he'll be ready to fight you. I overlook dudes ignorance and look at his professionalism. He is the perfect role model of the sweet science inside the ring. Aint nobody on his **** no more than they were on Jordan's, Ali's or any other great champion. We know Floyd aint the most articulate dude in the world but he aint 40-0 for nothing that's why we're hear having this discussion.

Floyd didn't knock him out and he didn't lean on him so how did his size give him the advantage? When Castillo came in the ring heavier than Floyd he tried to lean on him for his advantage. Did you see Floyd doing any of that? NO Floyd used his athletic ability to dodge all Marquez's shots and counter him. If being bigger in size gives you that kind of advantage than I agree with everything you said. If not you better rethink it.
of course floyd was far too athletic and fast for jmm to begin with..

but with floyd weighing 15-20 lbs heavier jmm couldnt hurt him, **** couldnt even buzz him.

jmm had nothing on his punches against floyds bigger frame, heavier weight and height.

therefore floyd could do what he pleased when he pleased to with just the weight and height advantages..

ever boxed before? if you have then you know that a dude with good buzz can keep you at bay and more methodical. a guy with nothing to keep you honest or hesitant has no chance
