Point Im making is this. There is nothing wrong with being a fan of ONE fighter.I was only a fan of Roy Jones and Oscar for I dont know how long.

If people dont make threads. We dont have discussion. Alot of people whining about threads are th same guys who dont make any.

Its fine to be a fan and a huge one of a particular fighter, but some posters make the exact same threads about the exact same things related to that one fighter every day on here.....that is the definition of nutthugging.

A nutthugger defends his #1 guy no matter what he does, whether it be ducking, coming in over weight, using plaster or whatever and that posters #1 enemy is any fighter who is the most dangerous threat to his favorite fighter.

I try to respect other peoples opinion but I do say that to other posters who repeatedly post biased b-**** in an attempt to either:

          1. change history to fit an agenda
          2. try to discredit a fighter just because they don't like them
          3. Just flat out show a lack of respect for the sport as a whole

Guys like No Ceilings (If you have read any of his post) fit this bill. It's normal to not know everything, but when you say and post bull**** intentionally to flame or fit an agenda....then you aren't a fan of boxing.

BTW I do agree with you TS, because alot of people throw that out too loosely. Most of the time it's just outta someone wanted to show some type of superiority but in some cases, there is some truths behind it when talking to certain posters.

Without nuthuggers this site would have 11 members. I laid off the Pac fans.I went back in forth in PMs with one of his fans today. I realize they are excited as **** to have their guy on top of the boxing world. I wish they knew more about the sport to have debate with them since they make up majority of this site but I get where they coming from.

Thing is everyone on here will root for a guy. Everybody has had a favorite boxer before. My MAIN two favorites are Mayweather and Williams. Love those guys they make the sport I love enjoyable. Nothing wrong with that.

Just because there are people on this site with no favorite fighters and no opinions, and guys who dont take stances on anything doesnt give them the right to knock people who do want to have opinions, who dont want to take a stance and guys who do have fighters. I would hate watching the NFL with no opinion or rooting interest. Id prolly kill myself.

Like I said I have my favorites and that favoritism is based on their in ring work.
Its seems that many nutthuggers know very little of any boxers in ring work other than their favorite fighter.
What is wrong with having various interests? Don't the site members find it boring devoting all of their attention to just a couple fighters?
I try and be knowledgeable about fighters everywhere from all over the world and base my opinions on what I see in the ring against the opposition they face.

Nothing wrong with strong opinions as long as its based on some kind of rationality and not just identifying with the fighters on some personal level.

I knew that would piss you off, but I still feel that you show a lack of respect for the sport by you constantly discrediting fighters and trying to change history to fit an agenda. No need to prove anything because you post record speaks for itself.

I will say this though....you have improved a lot and your becoming more open minded (and making sure your facts are correct when posting) which is always a good thing. No beef, but when I read some of your post, I know that even you don't believe the stuff you are saying. I get disappointed because I know you are better than that (due to the fact that there are times when you drop some knowledge and start some good topics), but then there are times when i read some backwards **** from you and wanna log off from NSB.

**** point. The worst posters on this site are invariably those who nuthug one fighter obsessively and live their lives vicariously through this fighter; whether it's Floyd, Pac, Calzaghe, Cotto....Williams. Etc.

I feeling kinda sad for these people. Because they don't know what it's like to support different fighters, from high-profile elite fighters to under-the-radar ones. I like Eddie Chambers, and to me, it's as interesting reading about him getting prepared for Wlad as it is about Pac getting ready for Clottey or Floyd for Shane.

You ****wits are missing out on so much. But ah, at least you get to enjoy all those debates about PPV numbers and google search ratings....
