Doesn't matter if you win the title-belt on points or by KO. So it's irrelevant if you're a slickster or a puncher. Styles make fights and you just gots to know your stuff.

Their character? NO
Mayorga will get in your face at the presser and he will be or try to get in your face for the entire 12 rounds, unless you knock him out or he knocks you out.
Floyd isn't made that way. Him getting all up in someones face doesn't reflect on what he is going to do on fight night. He can't do anything to Shane being that close. It's simply a false representation. If Shane wasn't so mild-mannered, he'd body slam him or knock him out. More agressive fighters like Vargas wouldn't let him get away with **** like that.

But not while he is in his face. He is not tough guy like that and he doesn't fight like that. He doesn't have to and shouldn't have to fight like that to prove himself to some keyboard warriors either. That's not what I'm saying.
But neither should he pretend to be one of the tough come forward fighters, and be all confrontational. The Mayorga's, Miranda's, Vargas's, Trinidad's, Tyson's, hell even Cotto who does know hot to box are entitled to this for obvious reasons. Their fighting characteristics reflect that. Floyd's don't.

I don't even mind what he says, even when I disagree with it, and take it with a grain of salt.
BUT, what I don't like is guys like him getting in opponents faces during press-conf's when their fighting-style doesn't reflect that. Fightrs like Miranda or Mayorga, hell even Mosley himself are entitled to this because they are agressive fighters and can really ****. Their style of fighting is even usefull in the real world outside of the squared circle, if they need to throw down with somebody on the streets. So if they get in someone's face and talk trash, it's legitimate because they're gonna fight that way.
Guys like Malignaggie, Cory Spinks, Sharmba Mitchell....yet alone Floyd (who doesn't move around as much as those three) , should keep a safe distance from their opponents at post-press stare down's. Reflect your boxing style. Don't pretend to be something that you're not. You're slick, you're quick, you're an athelete and a great boxer, Respect. Be that, BUT don't get up all in a fighters face because that's as close as we're gonna see you to him on fight night.
Thanks for reading, over and out...
They used to call Ali a runner...
"all he does is run around the ring like a chicken.."
were some of the quotes...
And Ali used to trash people in press conferences like no other!!
get with the times...
Every fighter has the right to **** talk and get in their oppenet faces, especially when they are the ones getting in the ring and have to answer for the **** they spoke about.
