  • Fighters that counter-punch/Stick & move shouldn't get in opponents Faces

First of all, i'm a big, big fan of Mayweather's boxing skills, defense and appreciate him as a great boxer. I'm not one of those, "His style is boring chicken buaha" mutants.

I don't even mind what he says, even when I disagree with it, and take it with a grain of salt.

BUT, what I don't like is guys like him getting in opponents faces during press-conf's when their fighting-style doesn't reflect that. Fightrs like Miranda or Mayorga, hell even Mosley himself are entitled to this because they are agressive fighters and can really ****. Their style of fighting is even usefull in the real world outside of the squared circle, if they need to throw down with somebody on the streets. So if they get in someone's face and talk trash, it's legitimate because they're gonna fight that way.

Guys like Malignaggie, Cory Spinks, Sharmba Mitchell....yet alone Floyd (who doesn't move around as much as those three) , should keep a safe distance from their opponents at post-press stare down's. Reflect your boxing style. Don't pretend to be something that you're not. You're slick, you're quick, you're an athelete and a great boxer, Respect. Be that, BUT don't get up all in a fighters face because that's as close as we're gonna see you to him on fight night.

Thanks for reading, over and out...

it's weird to see a guy like Paulie who talks so much trash out of the ring and in it he's just sticking and moving compared to a guy like Urango who's quiet out of the ring and applies relentless pressure inside of it

it is a pet peeve of mine though to hear fighters talk like they're about to go to war and brutalize their opponents and they end up fighting the exact opposite of their claims

Agree, if a fighter isn't good at something why should they do it? Floyd isn't a brawler, no one should criticize him for not brawling. You don't like how he fights, don't watch him fight.

          I disagree.

          Its all a game dude.

Ali was the master of these type of tactics.

Hopkins does the same thing and its a brilliant way of getting inside your opponents head.

The propose of a boxer/counter-puncher is to frustrate and fluster your opponent.

There is no better place to do it then in a place where your allowed to talk **** and hes not allowed to hit you.

Bro, I love your sigs. Those sigs tell me a lot about who you think will win a May-Pac fight. I'm with you.

Actually I picked those just because they looked like they fit together. I think the actual fight is 50-50.

You're right. Your petty, gang-mentality Pac fans vs Floyd fans threads are much better. Top notch quality.
