I agree no comparison stylistically between Hopkins and Sergio. Hopkins knew exactly what to do with Pavlik, followed his game plan, proved to be stronger and his defense was close to perfect that night. Im not big into giving credence to fighters excuses but Pavlik claimed to be ill with some kind of bad cold er the flu that night. Whatever the reason Hopkins beat his ass in way that Martinez cant even imagine.

Truth be told I haven't seen the fight(have you?), but fighters styles are usually somewhat the same at 17 fights and 40 fights. I still think that the fact that Margarito is the only guy to KO him is worth something when looking at this upcoming fight. I never said this makes Pavlik a lock to win. I have stated from the day the fight was signed that I wouldn't be surprised if Kelly loses, and I'm probably one of his biggest fans on this site.
you can find that fight (Martinez vs Margarito) at Paneldeboxeo.com

Thats an interesting point. Another interesting point is that come fight night Sergio is gonna be 35 years old, and hes also gonna be the smaller man coming in. Dont get me wrong, the guy has a good chance, but this isnt Bernard Hopkins. Kelly just might put a beating on him.
