Well if Floyd is going to pass the Robinson and Ali then he will have to start doing it now and often. Shane and Pac will not cut it. Shane and Pac will not cut him being greater than SRL or Duran. Let alone the Langfords, Greb, Pep, B. Leonard, Charles, Armstrong, Louis. Since he is 32 or 33 already he might not have the time rank ahead of those guys...

In your opinion and I don't wanna take that away from you. But Floyd has the best defense in the history of boxing better than Pernell Whitaker. Least hit boxer, most accurate boxer what more do you want? ko's? come on this is boxing not ultimate knock outs!!

See there is where going to disagree. IMO Whitaker had the better he proved against greater fighters. And, Whitaker arguably is not even the greatest defensive fighter of all time. Pep and Locche have a great case to be ahead of Whitaker. Those are the top 3 greatest defenive fighters of all time. Then you add the likes of Benitez, Leonard, Canto, A.Moore, Burley, H.Williams, and Jersey Joe Walcott. I mean I really doubt Floyd is in the top and terms of defense. You can make a case that all this guys rank higher Floyd for defense.

And, I don't know why you brought up the KO line at the end. Nobody was talking about that. I love the sweet science of the sport. So the KO line has no merit here...

When you start ranking ATG, then you take into account skills, resume, accomplishments, and the era they fought in. All that goes into account when you're doing an ATG list.

Now if you wan't to do a pure ATG list on just pure defense wise. Then that is fine too but, Floyd is not in the top 3. I don't know how anybody can say his defense is better than Whitaker, Pep, or Locche. When Whitaker didn't want to get hit he didn't get hit.

I am pretty sure you know who Locche and Per are. And, you might might not have seen any footage of them. If you have then we just have to agree to disagree on this one if think Floyd is better than them. But, if you haven't seen any footage on them then look them up. If you love defense like I do. You would really enjoy them...

i dsagree.Pernell had a better defense,and he proved that against better opponents such as chavez,hoya,ramirez,trinidad paez ect ect.Whittaker just couldnt get hit man.pbf shown his real defense skills in 2 fights,against Corrales and Marquez.thats it

i wonder how anyone knows that shane has trouble with speed and movement. his losses were to guys that were not fast and beside cotto didnt move that great.

if anyone has trouble with speed its mayweather. look at the judah fight early.

Manny throws lots of punches yes. But I was watching the 1st Marquez fight yesterday and I noticed that when you counter him he stops throwing combos completely and we all know he will be countered by Floyd. So I don't see him throwing as many punches as normal.

I was addressing manny's perceived stamina problems not his ability to beat floyd. Someone mentioned that floyd never gets tired while manny does. I made reference to the fact that you have to take into account that manny normally has a much higher punch output; while floyd fights at a relatvely measured and relaxed pace.

better then whitaker yo dude pernell was in the ring with some of the best fighter's of his time era and this era mayweather is not compared to those guy's cause he has not challenge himself i have always like and respected mayweather but look how long it take's him to fight other fighter's at his level you can say people did not want to fight him when he called them out but come on when he was calling for mosley he was not even fighting ww mosley was fighting ww and top ww and top jr ww while this guy was fighting chop chop baldy judah mitchell what make's me laugh if he would have went to ww and started fighting top guy's in ww mosley would have got in the ring with him along time ago he had a chance to be great by fighting guy's like forest spinks mayorga margacheato pwill and yet he was not in the ring with none whitaker was in the ring with ever dangerous guy in all the weight's he was at this is goin to be the first time other then baldy that mayweather has got it in with a real ww and how long has the man been at the weight don't compare this guy too great's like and as for as one of the best fighter's he could be but he has alot more to prove
