If Martinez gasses after three rounds again, then I see Pavlik winning this. I don't think Martinez's pot-shotting will work against Pavlik as much as it did Williams. Thing is, is if you're as predictable when you're going to hit, like Martinez is, the a slower pressure fighter like Pavlik will have the reactions to more likely nullify it. Now Martinez was successful with his pot-shots against Williams because Williams rushes in without thinking and walks into shots. Now Pavlik doesn't keep his hands low like Williams, and I can see a lot of Martinez's shot's being blocked. If Martinez keeps his hands down against Pavlik, he's going to get tagged, especially in the later rounds if he gasses again. Martinez doesn't give the same angles as Hopkins can. Hopkins applies lateral movement WHILE throwing combination's, Martinez uses angles as more of a defense mechanism and sometimes throws a potshot in there. Martinez won't be the same fighter as Hopkins at all.

Pavlik is getting shut out in this one..and I got 40k to back that!..

I agree. Martinez will not stand in one spot waiting for Pavlik to hit him. I think Pavlik had a better chance of beating Williams than he does against Martinez.

Kelly Pavlik is more predictable than Martinez. He's a basic jab, then right hand. If he's inside, he'll go to the body and occasionally throw an upper cut. Plus Pavlik's work rate won't be as high as P Will.

I hope Sergio whoops Kelly "The Duck" Pavlik quite proper for that duck job he did at the end of last year. You duck Paul Williams to fight the guy who Paul Williams just beat (although a close fight)?

Man this is a tough one to call! Much tougher than Williams vs. Pavlik, which I think Pavlik would have won fairly easily. I'm going to really have to think about this one, though I lean towards a Pavlik KO right now.

Forget the duck job he did last year with Williams. Think about how many times he ducked Arthur Abraham in the past couple of years! He doesn't seem to be too confident in his abilities, but I think he probably beats Williams or Martinez.

Pavlik will never beat a thinking fighter who can set up punches. He doesn't even want to fight guys like that.

Hopkins is stronger then Sergio harder punching and harder to hit clean. Plus when Pavlik fought Hopkins he was gasing out fast. I think Sergio is going to take a beating.
