Last time out Yuri came in on FN at only 161 for a 154lb fight.

If Yuri beats Cotto, I will wonder what would have happened if Jennings was 7lbs heavier because on paper it should be the same fight for Cotto.

You guys are deluding yourselves thinking Cotto is "shot" after TWO LOSSES, stylistically this is good for Cotto but I have already talked about this enough on here and stated reasons as to why.

yuri is NOTHING like jennings. i repeat, NOTHING like jennings. if jennings weighed 7 pounds more he would still get knocked out by cotto. that will always be a easy fight for cotto. if cotto isn't shot he should be able to win a decision. even if the fight is close i will not consider him shot. but if cotto just gets BLOWED out by yuri that will tell me that cotto should have stop after the margo beating.

If Yuri beat Cotto noone will really be interested in his fights anymore, im sure if he decides to keep fighting if he lost, he'd probly nab a few more fights back at WW, but i dont think he'll be able to generate much interest from othe promotors or the public.

Agree, this is a better style match for him and Yuri is not a big JMW or and imposing force in there so if Cotto loses then that fight combined with the beating he took from Pac proved to do too much damage for him to continue anymore without risking his health.

not really..Cotto isn't a very big WW, he's strong but at 154 he's going to be very small with that 67 reach and only 5'7- 5'8 height.


and no..you know nothing of Pacquiao clearly. His best wins come from the mexican trio he finished off. Barrera, Marquez, Morales. Having those 3 names on your resume and a green W beside them pretty much makes you an instant ATG.

On top of that he busted DLH up jumping from 135 to 147, being a 130 lb fighter just a few months even before that. Then he went back down and wooped Hatton at his best weight. I thought it was impossible to write Pacquiao off but you somehow attempted anyways.

i know everything about pacquiao. out of barrera marquez morales. MARQUEZ was the best. and morales defeated pac before. marquez got a decision and lost a split decision to pac (which i thought Marquez won both fights) these aren't great wins for pac which is why i didn't include them. and it's LAUGHABLE if anyone would put PAC as a ATG from getting beat in the head by Marquez. they are going by his recent fights. not the OLD pacman.

cotto is not a big welterweight but he isn't a small one ether. a big welterweight is someone like Williams or margo.

to be honest. PAC is no where NEAR the number 2 greatest fighter of all time. he would be lucky to make it in the top 50. the reason is, PAC has trouble with boxers. he's a great brawler rather then great fighter. when he's in there with a boxer he looks very amateur. hatton comes forward to him (fed to the brawlers style) cotto comes forward to him (fed to the brawler) oscar is too weak to even move (fed to the brawler) clottey comes forward (fed to the BRAWLER)

taking all of that in.

what would be left for PAC? lets say he gets by clottey. his best wins are against clottey, a weight drained DLH (no one can deny this) and last but not least, HATTON. i didn't mention marquez because he had trouble with him. so in all realty, his best wins would be against hatton & clottey. and this SAME EXACT FIGHTER is being tossed around as being the 2nd greatest fighter of ALL TIME? WTF!!!?

It means Cotto is done. And Foreman would likely be rushed into a fight he's not ready for against another upper tier JMW fighter, as beating Ctto will go to the heads of his team.
