if a small ex 140lb fighter could show me that then guys at the upper echelon would clearly expose that

I like Jones but let's not start annoiting him the next anything until he actually has a tough test in front of him. Nitro was a good step but lets face it he was a career 140lb fighter

and he still touched him plenty. What happens when a legit 147lb fighter with some pop gets to him?
We still have to see what kind of chin Jones has, but lets not pretend Jones was tested tonight.

I see somethings in him that with some experience could take him far if he is all there in the area of toughness.

Change the experience edge and Floyd is in trouble......you think he fights now like he did 10 years ago????? Please, Floyd throws 40 punches per round.
        skills dont always win fights

Jones is skilled but also flawed

and as much as your love for Jones saw a flawless fight I saw things Nitro did that makes me think a strong right hand welter or a durable left hook welter would be his undoing

his high guard screams for a body attack and when Nitro did it Jones stopped his action. When Jones jabbed he left his left out there for Nitro to counter with rights. His guard on the inside is wrong and begging for an uppercut which Nitro threw and landed

Like I said, this is only the second time I have ever seen him fight. i think he is good for his experience level but sure he has flaws.

I'm saying he natural abilities are comparable to a Chad Dawson. With the proper development, he could be a guy that could stop the current Mayweather. Mayweather does not fight like he did several years ago, throwing multiple punch combos on the inside and countering on the outside. He ha several punches that he lures guys into for 90% of the fight and does a couple 1-2's later on after he works the guy over for 7 rds or so.
I'm not to familiar with Jones but from what I saw tonight, he could run the WW division in 2 years....I'll leave it at that.

but 5 fights and he beats Floyd?

I like Jones and all but damn mathed is sucking some serious ****age on dude

I think he needs to see more styles and fighting in Philly does not lend him to that. Thats what happens when you stick with a local promoter like Peltz you dont get to see a lot of different styles and talent

yeah I know a little bit about Jones and his history so its not like this is the first time I have seen him. Jones has had it easy so far and in this step up against a small fighter he simply showed some things that concerned me

but to say he beats Floyd after 5 more fights is moronic
