  • It wouldn't matter about Hatton wrestling, because Floyd is stronger than him anyway. He admitted he didn't realise how strong Mayweather is and Hatton would just get bullied regardless of where they fought because Mayweather is just that much better. He'd probably get beat worse a second time.

    • The final check hook floyd landed on Hatton i doubt he could have landed and timed so well if cortez didnt seperate them so much to give Floyd the chance to get one on him.
If hatton was stuck to floyd like Floyd whacking away at his body in manchester. Hatton would have won.

      • this thread is ridiculous

i like hatton but he was never in floyd's league

9 times out of 10 floyd would beat hatton like he stole something

get outta here with that joe cortez crap thats seriously reaching

hatton's crowing achievement was beating Kostya Tszyu

against floyd and pac he was in way over his head

just look at his fight with Collazo it should never have been that tough a fight for him

            Watch the fight again.

I've seen it too many times to count.

Mayweather lands that check left hook again on Hatton in that same corner in the 8th round where he almost stops Hatton, and he does it a few times before that. Each time he did it, you could see how adversely it effected Hatton throughout the fight. Initially practically no effect at all, to stunning him, to eventually knocking him out.

After that it was just a matter of breaking Hatton down and making him tired, then setting him up for it again.

It can also be attributed to a technical flaw in his make up, Hatton dips to his left before he uncorks the left hook, when Mayweather landed that punch Hatton was desperate due to falling behind and so threw his game plan out the window and come in, in a straight line.

Pacquaio/Roach also took advantage of this imo.

              • But the ref made hatton as desperate as he was, and effected his performance you cant deny.

The ref did his job.....he separated them when they both held.....Floyd actually just beat Hatton at his own game..........

This is exactly how I feel. Can we just ignore this thread now?
