That said, Wladamir is the 2nd best fighter, and the reason a lot of his fights are "boring" is because his opponents don't come to fight, they come to spoil and be defensive and try to survive, if his opponents opened up and attacked the fights would be more exciting, than just watching Wlad tee off.

    Not Wlads fault, his opponents.
This makes some sense, but at the same time Wlad has all the physical attributes to dominate and destroy most of his competition. He seems content to wait things out and not force the fight though. Not saying there is anything wrong with that strategy if it keeps you winning, but it isn't exciting.

i always laugh at the klit nuthuggers comments though

      i mean 'dominant KO victory'?

i tell you one thing,if a guy started a fight with me in the street and he was 2-4 inches shorter than me and 30 lbs lighter,id be scoring a dominant KO victory aswell-and it wouldnt take me 9 fucking rounds either!

Wow, you concede the obvious, how very brave of you. And then you proceed to bash Wlad, how typical of this kind of threads.

Vitali said he will retire soon, but first he need to get the last belt (WBA, Haye) in his collection so the Brothers got all belts and people finally will shut TF up. these guys are STILL undisputed . best havyweights today. ( awaiting fights with: Eddie, winner of Haye-Ruiz(and maybe vs winner of Chagaev-Meehan), Povetkin, winner of Adamek-Arreola, (Valuev).

I prefer Wlad, but I like both.

How am I bashing Wlad, but pointing out the truth? Can you name another ko artist who is as boring as Wlad?

Wlad is one of the most boring fighters in the history of the sport. It's not always his fault but the guy is only a level above Johnny Louise on the boring meter at the most.

I see some here are going to knock Wlad for being taller than opponents like there is something he can do about that, and how dare he punish them and force them to quit on the stool or have the ref/corner stop the fight for the fighters own good.

Yeah, I know Sanders, Purity, Brewster.......53 wins out of 56 fights real ****ty, especially with 85% of them by ko. What happened to the other 15%? only a bum would let 5 or 6 fighters survive against him in nearly 60 fights against anyone and all of the best opponents available in the world.

I certianly understand what you're saying. Vs Thompson, Brock, Chagaev, Rahman had alot of tentitive moments where he could have pressed the action and didn't. He uses his attributes and doesn't take unessecary risks.

But fighter like Winky or Hopkins are similarily boring, don't end their fights with Brutal Brock or Thompson like KO's yet seem to have no problem getting supporters. They have their "technical" qualities admired not criticized like Volodymyr.

Another thing is people either have short memories or never watched Volodymyr pre-Byrd II. Before hooking up with steward he was exactly what you are saying you wish he was, a destroyer with killer instinct. Watch him vs Mercer, Botha, Jefferson, Barrett. He was aggressive and also was very good fighting on the inside. Watch the Jefferson and Shufford KO's.

I prefer his pre Steward style from an entertainment standpoint but i do think alot of the criticism for his technical style is is hypocritical and over the top from alot of people.
