Good thing Donaire is only 26 years old.

Hopefully he fights Montiel or Darchinyan next.

Morel's WBO shot is long overdue though.

So what's really happening and what's not going to happen? Who is going to go more rewarded by making Montiel - Morel than putting Montiel right in from of Hasegawa in the very same ring? Man, let Hasegawa fight Montiel. He'll prove that he is the best bantamweight with ease, even in Mexico. Who on Earth is getting in the way? Top Rank? Damn them all...

Ricky Hatton's walkaround weight is 200. Pacquiao's 160ish.... does not make it their optimum fighting weight.

They have more weightclasses in the lowerweights because the smaller guys are more likely to be affected by just a couple of pounds than bigger guys.

I agree Donaire should step up the competition but we saw what happened to darchinyan when he thought he was a juggernaut that could climb the weight divisions. Let Donaire get acclimated to the weight if you want him to make the jump.

hey I told guys. Even tough like everybody else, I prefer Hazegawa vs Montiel, the right fight is Morel-Montiel because Morel has been the mandatory challenger for almost 2 years now.

After Morel-Montiel the winner. Meanhhile hozumi shpuld just fight Donaire(Donaire wont figt him), Agbeko or another top BW in the US.

He must be waiting for Montiel & Hasegawa to get old.

True, but I think part of the reason Darchinyan lost is his style.

His style won't allow him to do all that well at the higher weights, and in a division like bantamweight.

Hasegawa has got to be the mos overrated boxer in boxing right now!!I mean really, who the hell has this guy beat?

I went on youtube once noticed people praising him like he is some modern great and guess what, he ain't all that!!A very good fighter, yeah.Great?I don't think so....what is his signature win?And then I hear people saying some kind of ko artist when he only has like 12 kos in 28 fights?WTF?He's been fighting bums I tell you.....anyone can look great against bums.

He lost to a guy that now has more losses than wins.....but he's supposed to tear Montiel a new one with ease?Montiel, a guy that his only two losses has been to very good if not great and proven fighters in Mark Jhonson and Jhonny Gonzalez. And guess what, myself and many people thought he won both, especially the Gonzalez fight, a fighter that was visibly bigger and stronger!!And Hasegawa is supposed to walk through him???GTFOH!!!

I know you will use the Valdez fight as a measuring stick as to who did better, Valdez was outboxing Hasegawa until he got caught whereas Montiel was dominating Valdez until got cut.People that talk **** about that fight I bet have never seen it.Go check it out right now and see for yourself, and while your at it check Hasegawa/Valdez too.

Listen, Hasegawa is a top 3 Bantamweight but he ain't no monster either.....a Montiel/Hasegawa fight is a 60/40 fight IMHO in favor of Montiel. He is the most experienced, better body puncher, more powerful puncher, more accurate, more technical and more versatile.Hasegawa is a southpaw though and has a little bit more speed but that's about it....tell me what does Hasegawa do better?

I think people just jump on bandwagons too fast without even knowing anything about a fighter!!

                      Easy, bandit.

First off, I don't know why you are taking what you read on youtube seriously. Second of all, Hasegawa has been facing quality opposition, having several beaten several fighters who ranked opponents at the time.

Also, Hasegawa-Valdez and Montiel-Valdez were competitive fights. The difference is Hasegawa got the job done, Montiel didn't.

He may have lost to guys with losing records, but both of those fights were against opponents early in his career. It's not uncommon in the lower weight classes for a fighter to lose a few early in his career. Hasegawa has also improved a lot since then.

In all honesty, I think you're just getting worked up because people are picking Hasegawa to win. IMO though, it's going to be competitive fight.

Also, Hasegawa's signature win is ending the long title reign on Veeraphol Sahaprom, who he later beat in a rematch.
