    Jones vs Calzaghe

I rewatched the fight for the first time. I haven't seen it since i saw it live. The fight was closer then what i looks like at first sight. Joe's aggressivness and swarming style makes it look like he hits more then he actually does. Roy took the first and second and then lost three in a row to Calzaghes workrate. I had Roy winning the sixth on clean effective punching especially a monster uppercut in the middle of the round. Seven was an even round. Calzaghe took the four following rounds with Roy having great problems with his vision because of the big cut he got in round seven. The last round Joe did nothing and Roy did close to nothing but scored two or three good punches.

I had Calzaghe winning 10-2. That fight was a slaughter.

      Same here.
Roy was pitiful and was absolutely embarrassed.
It would have been better if he got stopped to save him from the humiliation.

Roy put up a good fight until he got cut in the end of the seventh. After that he fought with one eye.

To me he put up a good fight for the 1st two rds..after that he was ****d while Calzaghe battered him while dancing in front of his face.
Joe put his face right infront of Roys fists and Roy couldnt do ****.

Roy should have stopped him in the first rd but Calzaghe won the fight fair and square.

Judges like workrate. Its all good son everyone knows what would have happened if Jones was prime.

I disagree. Roy lost the fight that was it. You cannot call it **** or battering when it's Calzaghes kind of punching power we are talking about. The cut and Jones inactivity in the later rounds made it look worse then it was.

Roy was embarrassed,He was made to look a complete fool.
Joe had his gloves down and stuck his face in Roys face all night long..even HBO were shocked at how Calzaghe was making him look foolish.
He was a punchbag for ten rounds, like he was Greens punchbag for one round.
He should have retired when Tarver and Johnson destroyed him.
