So what, he is still losing money. Golden Boy guaranteed him $1m a fight, it is in his contract. Khan is in effect ripping up the promises made to him to get this fight made.

And people always make the excuse - "Oh I would get in the ring for a thousand pounds". Maybe you would. But would you go to work if your employer cut your wages by 40%?

Boxing is peoples livelihoods. They risk their lives to entertain. They deserve all the money they can get.

He was guaranteed $1m a fight by Golden Boy. If he wanted to he could probably hold out and demand that $1m. Golden Boy probably wouldn't give into Khan, but then Khan could go through the courts, seperate from Golden Boy, and go elsewhere. Basically Khan has let Golden Boys contractual obligations slide, to get this fight made.

He deserves respect for that.
