I can agree on those points which is why you will never hear me say he ducked Margarito or Cotto. Now I wish he would have fought them instead of retiring for a year...but he said his body needed the rest so I gave him a pass.

But that has nothing to do with him dodging Stevie Johnston back then. Johnston and Castillo would have brought the same amount of money to the table, A HBO date and would have actually been a bigger fight. Floyd came out and said he didnt want to fight a southpaw and Roger came out and said "My nephew isn't ready for a southpaw".

Floyd gets no credit for beating Marquez...and Clottey's win over Corrales is nothing to brag about. I never nitpick anything Floyd does. I have actually defending him on several occassion..even in this thread. You on the other hand have a fixation with pac and go outta your way to try and discredit him.

Of course thats true. Im just saying EVERY body has there beef with fighting southpaws. Floyd has said he wanted to fight him. Roger saying otherwise is something different.

Yes he didn't look good in that fight. Early in Floyd's career his team saw that and that is why they didn't put him in there against elite soutpaw fighters such as casamayor or johnston.

People claim Floyd hasn't improved much but this is a lie....

Fact is that as Floyd continue to train....Roger Mayweather has help Floyd perfect his right hand and his left hook. That is why they took the Judah fight because Floyd was finally ready to face an Elite southpaw. Floyd right now has no problem with any fighters especially southpaws. He may struggle but he has the perfected the punches he needs to be effective against them.

This is also why I say Floyd is better than he was when he was at 130, 135 and even 140. Floyd has came full circle and is at his absolute best right now. This version completely school any other past version....and I know this because I have followed Floyd since he first started boxing.

This is why I call Roger the best trainer. Sr. helped Floyd. But Roger built the genius boxer we see today.
