I believe in Ortiz, though winning a title at 140 is hard right now. He doesn't beat Bradley, Alexander or Khan imo.
He needs more time to develop and the first thing he has to do is beat Maidana, still can't believe he quit in that fight he wasn't even doing badly.

A move up to Welterweight is good after he's picked up a belt at 140, if he can't handle them then there's no way he'll be able to play with the big boys at 147. Obviously he is young and growing but there's been no reports of him struggling to make the weight.

Maidana doesnt want the rematch because he admitted that his only game plan against Ortiz was to brawl and now that Ortiz figured it out Maidana said he has so much to lose and so little to gain for a rematch and that Ortiz just hits too hard...

victor ortiz was my favorite prospect.. I was really high on him.. but after the maidana loss i need to see him how he bounce back from this...

with that being said.... i like that hes about to face the purple warrior.......

if he manage to kick his ass ... his confidence is gonna get a boost.... BUT also.. is a risky move.... nate is a veteran.... and ortiz showed that hes still green in some BASICS ASPECT OF THE GAME... like .. how to get his composure back after being rocked..... he got way to rentless with maidana and he pay the price.... that can happen too with the purple warrior.....
