Well maybe Pac should try fighting some fighters who aren't coming off losses, hey I got an idea, there's this guy named Mayweather who's undefeated, and the record setting PPV King, or is Clottey the bigger draw? Clottey must be otherwise why is Pac fighting him? He must be a bigger star than Mayweather cause Pac only fights the big names.

Thats also true yet ONLY 100K people tuned in to see him fight Casamayor on PPV. Then he turns around and does over 1 Million with Floyd.

So it was all the Hatton fans in AMERICA that equaled the 900k viewers?

actually mate hatton made more for the mayweather fight 915,000 in usa and over 1 million in the uk pac fight only did 850,000 usa and 300,000 in UK buys

this resulted in him making more money for the floyd fight than the pac fight (remerber hatton keeps all money from uk buys like haye did against the giant which is around £5 each ppv bought).

Floyd was the PPV king up until he retired, it's Pac who's the king now.

It's pointless to compare fights between the two when one was fighting pre-recession time and one was fighting during the recession but still it generated millions of buys.

During the recession Pac vs Cotto did better than FM vs JMM.

It seems that all these Floyd boys have this perception that floyd is the PPV king..

Hes the biggest NAME in boxing right now, but not the biggest draw..

He has made some excellent choices to fight fighters who have strong fanbases which is why his fights sell well.. Its WHO he is fighting.. NOT himself..

I hate to beat a dead horse, but look at the baldomir fight.. How much did that sell? werent people leaving the stadium in the middle of the fight?

DLH, Hatton, JMM.. all had strong fan bases..

The upcoming Pac fight should be compared to the baldomir fight.. both unknown fighters

That is a FAIR comparison.. This thread was not intended to flame either

MY POSTS IN THIS THREAD EXPLAIN RATHER NICELY WHY FLOYD IS THE PPV KING!!!!!

they want to argue against cold hard numbers.

These guys were not doing 200 - 300k on there own and suddenly they do over a mil with floyd....a guy who is not a drawcard according to *******s.........
