Yeah, but I don't get what people get out of this kind of debate. Honestly, who really cares what these guys make or how popular they are? Well, I guess I shouldn't ask that since I'm dealing with NSB. Seriously, they are both very talented and debating about money is the dumbest thing ever. Do some of these posters even like boxing or is it all about pounding their chest and acting like 5 year olds, my guy can sell more than your dude?
Can we put the Mayweather PPV king arguements to rest?

I think in the TS case being a Clottey fan is why he made this thread.Yeah, but I don't get what people get out of this kind of debate. Im not big on these Mayweather vs Pac threads, but your argument is pretty weak considering Mayweather wasn't a huge star yet against Baldomir, and Pac also fought JMM, Hatton, and DLH, and did less buys with all 3.Honestly?
It seems that all these Floyd boys have this perception that floyd is the PPV king..
Hes the biggest NAME in boxing right now, but not the biggest draw..
He has made some excellent choices to fight fighters who have strong fanbases which is why his fights sell well.. Its WHO he is fighting.. NOT himself..
I hate to beat a dead horse, but look at the baldomir fight.. How much did that sell? werent people leaving the stadium in the middle of the fight?
DLH, Hatton, JMM.. all had strong fan bases..
The upcoming Pac fight should be compared to the baldomir fight.. both unknown fighters
That is a FAIR comparison.. This thread was not intended to flame eitherComment

Its apparent that threads like these are for pure attention.
These anti-floyd threads are sad and highlight how these posters know nothing outside the mainstream drama of the sport or they just want ATTENTION!
Here!
Now go and learn more about the sport so we can talk like grown ups.Comment

Even on this board more people make threads and talk about Floyd than they do Pac. Floyd has been the #1 topic of converstion for at least 3-4 years, thats not just this forum but nearly every boxing forum. The guy is a draw, 24/7, people tuned in to see Floyd not his opponents who you claim have 'bigger" fanbasesComment

When has Mosley ever been a PPV attraction?? His fight with Margarito was on regular HBO!! I bet when he fights Floyd they'll do over a million. Will that be because of Mosley's huge fanbase, or because Floyd is a bonafide draw?Comment

Yep I said that. His last PPV was 2 years ago vs. COTTO in Cottos back yard in NYC.Last edited by El Castigador; 02-18-2010, 08:46 PM.Comment
