Is it really that hard to figure out in the case of Oscar-Pac, really? 2 non welterweights meeting at 147? Why?

This should kill any talks of Manny making Oscar do anything

Oscar was coming to WW no matter what. First it was for Floyd, then Cotto and when both werent possible he went for Pac. It's not Pac's fault Oscar came in looking like ****.

Because DLH was shook of Margarito and wanted to fight a LW, and a LW moving all the way up to 154 was ridiculous, so DLH matched him by going down one while Pac went up one. See my previous post. This wasn't a "weight drain," which is exactly what you're trying to imply in this thread.

Again for those who are too slow. This was an interview giving a full year before Pac and DLH fought. Oscar had been planning on returning to WW for over a year before he fought Pac.

            DLH WW return

Regardless it was a catch weight. Two NON 147 pounders fighting at 147 is a catch weight. Pac didnt drain Oscar. Still doesnt change the fact Oscar ws a zombie.

I know it was Oscar who challenged Pac and it was his idea to meet at 147, nevertheless its still a catchweight fight imo, welter limit meant nothing in this contest. It was simply the middle ground

Even with this people are still making excuses? Geezus! Its funny how in the article Pacquiao was not listed as a potential opponent. Oscar though he had an easy win in Pac. He sure was rudely awakened!

Damn quoted wrong post. Meant to quote OSIRIS's link post.

I agree. but who's fault is that. Your boxer A yet your opponent boxer B, who is a professional and should know he body by now....comes in looking like ****. Pac showed up but DLH didn't and paid the price. But like I said 147 is not a catch weight when you have a fighter who not only planned for a over a full in advance to return, but also fought a tuneup to get him ready for his WW return.

Please answer this question....If Paul and Kermit Cintron fight at 147, will you consider that a WW fight considering that both Cintron and WIlliams have been planning on making a WW return for a while?
