I know it was Oscar who challenged Pac and it was his idea to meet at 147, nevertheless its still a catchweight fight imo, welter limit meant nothing in this contest. It was simply the middle ground
What part of you not understanding that it had been DLH plan to return to WW for over a year. In the link I posted DLH specifically said that WW was the hottest division in boxing and where the big money fights would be at.

His plan was to rematch Floyd at 147...that fell through
Then he wanted to fight Cotto at 147...then the toney fight happened.
He was in search of an opponent at WW since he had officially stated he would be campaining there. He didn't want any part of Margarito...so he called out Pacquiao.

I think you are missing the point. Oscar is a clown we know that. This dude said he felt fast and **** at 147 knowing he was drained. He said he wanted to fight Hatton at140 remember?

So we gotta keep it real. Pac didnt drain him but Pac did beat a drained Oscar that night that cant be argued dude.

      • What Oscar uttered during prefight hype makes no difference, his azz didn't belong at 147 period. He's always overrated his abilities? He thought he could beat Nard at 160 for Christ's sake!!!

Okay I agree with that. I look at it to Vitali vs all these other HW. Vitali trains his @ss off and it's not his fault his opponents dont do the same. It's not his opponents fault he looks like **** and in similar fashion Oscar did that to himself. Honestly I think he tried to come in smaller than Pac so if he did pull off the WW he could have said he was actually the smaller man. In the process he got suffered a career ending loss.

But how did I miss the point? Everyone in boxing knows DLH was returning to WW and even fought a catch weight fight to get himself ready for a return there. So Oscar Officially campaining for a WW opponent, and finally settle on Pac. This was a WW fight not a catch weight fight.

            • TS is a Mayweather ****rider.

Oscar moved down ONE weight class, Manny moved up TWO weight classes. You can't ask someone to move up three weight classes to fight a guy.

Exactly how ******ed would it be for a 130 lber with one fight at 135, to fight a guy at 154?

Oscar wanted the fight at 147lbs (which is actually the Welterweight limit)
