Cotto's problem was he couldn't penetrate Clottey's guard to save his life cause all of a sudden he can't throw a straight right hand.

That's Pacquiao's strength. His straights will go right throw Clottey's gloves and right through his elbows. Clottey aint used to getting hit cleanly that often, but Pac throws the kind of punches that can penetrate Clottey's guard, and he throws a ton of them.

    Clottey will be EXHAUSTED.
I agree. Clottey would just walk into Cotto's kitchen and start throwing double and triple left hooks and uppercuts. And I'm just sitting there waiting for Cotto to throw a ****ing counter right hand, that **** pissed me off when I watched it a second time.

Clottey is too predictable for Pacquiao. Manny will time and counter Clottey with a hard shot when he opens up to throw a combination. And in the mean time, Pac will be throwing fast pitty pat shots and give lateral movement until he decides to open up.

I can see Manny Winning pretty big on the scorecard, but i cant see him knocking him out. I've just never seen Clottey hurt or really hit that clean that often.

I saw it on TV as well, and since I was there I've watched the fight about 50 times like the mark that I am.

If you watch it closely....that .gif you're talking about being a PERFECT example...look at the punches that broke through. There was ZERO power behind them, every punch was pushed because Cotto was trying to throw them in between Clottey's guard, something Cotto is not good at doing.

Now I'm not saying Clottey doesn't have a good beard. He does, there's no denying that. I'm just saying Pac is going to hit him cleanly more times than he's ever been hit cleanly.

The punches that Cotto got through Clottey's guard were not as powerful as the ones that Pac will get through the guard because Cotto is not comfortable throwing those straight shots and Pac is. That's all I'm sayin. It's a style thing. I still think Floyd whoops Pac's ass.

Yup. And even worse for Clottey, when he needs a breather and sits in that shell, he's not going to pick everything off.

Manny is going to make him move, and give him angles, and it's gonna make Clottey so tired. Then when Clottey takes a break in his shell THAT'S when Manny is really gonna get him. He just has the right arsenal to penetrate Clottey's guard, it's really that simple to me.

Cotto throws hooks. In Clottey's shell, his elbow's pick off hooks to the body and his gloves pick off hooks to the head.

Therefore, he could afford to take a breather in his shell and not absorb too much damage.

Pacquiao throws a phenomenal straight let to the mid section. That punch will go right through Clottey's guard. He also(obviously) throws a great straight left to the head, which will again, go right through Clottey's guard.

Clottey CANNOT sit in his shell and absorb shots like that, I don't care how hard the dude is. Pacquiao has the arsenal to render Clottey's highly praised defense ineffective. It's all because Pacquiao throws straight shots. Clottey will be tagged more than he's ever been tagged. And he will also be exhausted trying to keep up with the little ****er. He will quit after being dog tired and beat up.

Just thought some actual analysis on the fight might be refreshing as opposed to people just bitching at each other.

            Thoughts?
            thanks for the input, roach.

good call. clottey will quit on the 10th and say "i kennut tek his poonches"

Yeah man, people don't understand that Clottey is just too predictable.

Manny isn't gonna have stamina problem and no gameplan like Cotto did. It's gonna be non stop activity almost exactly like you say in your post. And Clottey is gonna get countered and hurt, remember that.

I'm 100% sure of an easy Pac win, the only thing I'm not sure of is if Manny will be able to knock him out. Because it's hard to knockout a world class boxer in survival mode. I can see Clottey staying in his shell and not throwing, just like the Margarito fight.

I honestly think they're using this fight as a pseudo tune up for Mayweather. I understand they fight nothing alike but Clottey has an extremely tight defensive shell (may help penetrate Mayweather if he catches him) and he has a very good straight right like Mayweather. Just thinking but may have more of a reason for this fight than just to stay busy.

The only similarities Clottey has with Floyd is that they both box. Thats it.
