i guess theres a disparity between what i consider as elite and what the ppl actively involved in boxing consider as elite. i consider elite as the top of the weight. nobody can tell me why these guys are considered elite. especially vargas and hoya. i take nothing away from them dudes give them all the credit in the world but if there elite so is mayorga and glen johnson.

I find it ironic you call Bernard Hopkins an elite fighter when his style of boxing is as close to Floyd Mayweathers as any boxer out there. Bernard is defense first and low risk. Tell me he didn't fight a load of tomato cans during his run as middleweight champ. He avoided a prime Roy Jones asking for a 50/50 split when he knew damn well Roy was the star at that time.

1) Floyd doesnt fight outside of vegas (fearing robbery)
2) Boxing is a bigger draw in the US
3) And int'l fighters wont add credit under his belt= lesser $$ for further negotiations on the table.
4) And how is it that the guy he is fighting (mosley) is helping him in future negtotiations vs Pac? He needs mosley more to sell ppvs!!!
