WE Learn these fighters,,

I grew up in the Day of Ali and Liston,,,,I heard all the stuff said about him in that day and forgotten most of it,,

my point its easy to buy the tapes of fighters and make and accessment of their life but you miss all the things of the day that went into making the fighter he really was. And one can get a misconception of ALI !!!!!

Ali was an ACE,,,,nobody did what he did in the ring. He had two boxing lives.... The first he was UNTOUCHABLE,,,, Brian LONDON never touched him in that three round fight.

Three years in exile was bad... I thought this was killing his boxing,,,,,, when he came back that first Cassius ALI WAS GONE FOREVER but what came out proved him to be the GREATEST ever !!!!! He took on ALL COMERS and there were some bad dudes much meaner and tougher than today,,,,,,,he makes Mayweather look like a pile of ****

      too much to say
u see my picture. i have nothing but respect and love for ali. i am talking in the ring. ali was a game changer. he changed the sport cus he was one of a kind and the first of his kind. your point is well taken and i respect that. mayweather, regardless of what you think about him outside the ring, is the best in the sport today. he is the modern day ali in the ring. you cant compare the men becasue of the times. if the outside influences from ali and your day were on mayweather i doubt he would be able to carry alis spit bucket. in the ring he, like ali is a genius. u dont agree?

with ur logic mosely would beat pacman. it doesnt work like that. if they slugged it out it the bigger puncher would win, JLC.
listen bro i do respect you but how you can say a man who could not ko a weak chin corrales is expected to beat a shark like mosley is when i think you are making and ass of your self i know it's all opinion anyway they never was in with each other but come-on dude how is he the bigger puncher mosley ko rate is higher and he has knockout bigger opponents jlc was shot and out of place over 135 so all i'm sayin is dont say crazy things cause it looks like you dont know what your talking about that's it respectfully

I don't like fighters who don't take chances. Taking the risk is what makes you great IMHO. All the fighters I mentioned take risks, so did Ray Leonard. Pernell Whitaker was a great boxer and at the end of his career, got more exciting, same with JMM but never a huge fan of Whitaker. I just like guys like Barrera, Morales, Gatti, Meldrick Taylor, Corrales, Castillo, etc. where when the going gets rough, they get rough right back...
Toward the end of his career he started getting hit. I guess that's what you mean by "exciting". That's probably why you didn't like him when he was dominating and not getting hit.Truly great fighters don't take beatings to land one punch. Defense is very much a part of boxing. I never understood the logic behind a good defense equating to not "taking chances" As a fighter you are not supposed to get hit. You're not supposed to fight ****** and allow the opponent to tee of on you or give him the best chance to win. And don't think for a minute fighters like Gatti, Corrales, or Taylor, enjoyed talking punches. Nobody does. They didn't have a choice. They didn't have the defensive skill to avoid the punishment. There is nothing great about taking punishment if you don't have to. Actually it would be ******.

the only hall of famer/ or future hall of famers mosley has beaten is oscar......

his resume reallly isn't that impressive, and the only reason dudes come on here and hype him, is b/c he's fighting mayweather, and they hate mayweather.

yes, mosley looked great against margarito, but let's not forget this is the same shane mosley who was about 15 seconds away from losing to ricardo mayorga, and everybody said he should retire after that fight.

i'll be real, in boxing, everybody has a "chance," so i won't count shane out TOTALLY, but i give dude < 15% chance of winning this fight. there is just nothing he does well that i see being trouble for mayweather.

didnt shane move down to 135 at one point? they were bigger opponents at a bigger weight class. at 135 miy moneys on castillo. just bcus he didnt ko correles doesnt mean he isnt a big puncher. he won the fight and that was a war.
