Larry Holmes didn't lack a personality he just came behind Ali and that was a hard bill to follow. In terms of ability, Holmes was equal with a better jab and more natural power. I watched many of those Homes fights and he fought wars in the ring against all comers.

the big picture. Glad you do though because Floyd is a strategic
person and always comes out on top. I conduct business with
many different industries and everything is about planning and
strategy.

The unfortunate thing about many fans of professional sports is that they think with their emotions and not their heads. Floyd took a break at the peak of his career to not only rest but to sit back and let someone else ascend to the top. He knew his boxing skills and ability would't erode because he was still training probably 5-6 days a week. When he decided to come back he picked up right where he left off making mega millions. He is now planning on doing the same thing again by fighting Mosley and then the winner of the Cotto and Foreman fight. Pacquaio was just one option for Floyd and Mosley was another. People don't seem to understand thatFloyd and Oscar learned very well from Bob Arum about the business side of boxing. Arum doesn't give a **** about who likes him or not he's all about the millions. Floyd always wanted to be what Oscar was and he knew he had the boxing ability but Oscar made the mega millions. Once Oscar went, Floyd slid right into his place with the bad guy image. (True bad guys don't sponsor charity drives that donate school supplies for less fortunate children, buy winter coats, and give out holiday meals and gifts) Say what you want to about Mayweather but he is constantly out thinking his opposition in the ring and out.

Although Floyd has a big mouth I think people get so caught up in that that they overlook his professionalism. Floyd always comes focused, in greaat condition and ready to fight. It's similar to Manny's lame ass "he's bigger than me" you get caught up in that sh-- and you will get your feelings hurt. Floyd knows fully well what Shane brings to the table. You dont fight a clever counter puncher (Marquez) like you fight a powerboxer (Mosley). Shane will bring out the best in Floyd.

Im sure your opinion of Floyd wont change even if he stops Shane so your right there's no point. I dont see Shane getting knocked out cold but stopped on cuts or by a barrage of punches yes it can be done. People bring in the race card because if a white fighter or other was 40-0 with 5 world titles in 5 different divisions he would probably be the face of sports and you know it.

you must not have seen the jlc fight becasue PBF, who has had sholder and hand issues, didnt use his right straight after the 4th round. true, that doesnt matter, however who got the w is different that who should have got the w. maybe floyd should have one w on his record but shane mosely is no jlc. shane is sloppy and will be out boxed and frustrated by mayweather who will come in this fight faster and lighter then recent fights.

No one can say how a prime Ali would have done against a prime Holmes, its all speculation. Both fighters did great in their eras. If Holmes wasn't so great then why did he hold the belts longer than any other champion in history with successful title defenses? He beat the best that was out there during his prime.
